There have been more than 60 years of change between the oldest baby Boomer and the youngest member of Gen Z. Considering this, their obvious and sometimes divisive differences become less surprising. However, such a fact doesn’t take away their humble right to poke fun at each other once in a while.
That’s why the digital world is full of memes that friendly mock the quirks and oddities of these generations. Bored Panda scoured the web and curated a list of some of the best ones. All you have to do is scroll down and enjoy!
While you’re at it, don’t forget to check out a conversation with a leading expert on Generation Z, Corey Seemiller, PhD, who kindly agreed to answer some questions about these age groups.

I just did the best I could to raise my kids. Build a society? New flash: there was one already in place when I got here.
I wish the people that make these comments would take a moment to think these things through. Baby Boomers just did the best that they could with what they had/knew at the the time. Same thing every generation does. As individuals, they had no more control over the society around them than the gen Xers, millennials, gen Z did/do now.
Load More Replies...Btw, this whole list is basically just people saying that boomers suck and made the world suck
Yeah, it's actually the rich people that made everything suck
Load More Replies...I had no idea I was supposed to be building a society. I've been spending all my time catching up on Blue Bloods.
Here comes the downvotes, but how about if you don't like your situation, pick yourself up and do something about it. Stop blaming others for your situation. There are plenty of successful people in all generations that have done that. If you think you aren't paid enough, go get a skill that will get paid more. Get a trade.
The government is supposed to be the people, but if we don't pay attention, it's the corporations. Of course it helped when they decided corporations were people with the same rights. Even though if their company kills people, the corporation can't go to jail or get the death penalty.
Load More Replies...Everyone could earn a living wage, if boomers, and subsequent parents are guilty of anything it's putting unrealistic expectations into the minds of their children. There's loads of things people COULD do to earn well beyond a living wage, the issue is that those are things that they don't want to do, because it's not their passion, or it's not what would make them the happiest they could be. People would rather suffer chasing after their "dreams" rather than accept "failure" It doesn't matter how much you love something, work is work, and it will feel that way sooner rather than later. You're better off doing something you're indifferent to, but can do well rather than chase after something where you'll struggle to be average.
You are going to get a lot of down votes but I agree with you. Maybe we can split the negative total
Load More Replies...In my country, unless one is moving away for a job, kids live with their parents. In most cases, they ask parents to move in with them in the new house. Living with parents is totally okay here
Actually, it was the capitalists who failed us all. If it was up to the boomers, we'd have health care and retirement safety nets.
Actual GenX: Life doesn't remember that I exist and has definitely not given me any lemons. Pass the booze.
Gen X didn't even make the headline of this list, either. 😂
Load More Replies...Gen X is more like, 'When life hands you lemons, don't question it, just make do'
GenZ: When Life gives you lemons, just take them, they're lemons.
If life gives you lemons, don't accept them. Get mad. Demand to see life's manager! Make life rue the day it decided to give [insert name] lemons. Do you know who I am? I'm the one who's going to burn your house down. With the lemons. I'm going to get my engineers to make a combustible lemon to burn your house down.
When life hands you lemons, make lemonade, then grab some vodka, and have a party
I am honestly hoping I just drop dead at like 60 because I will never be able to not work full time.
we didn't start out making 100,000/ yr. we started out making 12-14K and worked our way up to 100K after 40 years.
Exactly! I ain't bringing any kids into this doomed civilization! Mad Max is my future IF I survive the initial civilization collapse which is currently underway.
Honestly though, we really do need to stop blaming the Boomers, as much fun as it is ;) We need to put the blame rightfully at the feet of the capitalists who refuse to put the climate and environment in front of their profits.
Ok the Capitalist Boomers, I thought that was inherent in the word Boomer the yuppies that lauded greed was good

From innocent memes to Boomers ruining the economy to Gen Z being addicted to technology, generational stereotypes have become so common they have become clichés. Bored Panda reached out to a leading expert on Generation Z, Corey Seemiller, PhD, to learn more about the topic.
She explains that they are, to some extent, based on reality. “Either someone has a unique experience and makes a claim about a group of people, which catches like wildfire, particularly in the era of social media, or there is enough validation that something is true to some extent.
For example, many in the GI Generation who grew up during the Depression held onto hoarding tendencies even well after they aged out of an era of scarcity. There was enough truth in that assertion that it became a well-known characteristic of those in the GI Generation.”
here's the dif. The earlier gens had it hard and that made it hard on their kids. Boomers? Not so much. Hence their kids had everything. Now let the little darlings figure out how to keep that standard and pass it along.
Load More Replies...Push back here...I try, I REALLY try. But the view of "screw you, I got mine" is just too much for one person to overcome. I will say my one daughter and family are WAY better off than we are gives me hope. But when they say "we'll never get social security" drives me nuts. "DON'T let them do that to you". We allowed company pensions to go away, you gotta FIGHT damn it!
Pic#1: They're in their 20s. Their parents are as old as the people in Pic #3. Pic #2: They're in their 20s. Their parents are as old as the people in Pic #3. Pic #3: They're in their 50s. They were kinda hoping not to have to parent their 25 to 30 year old offspring any more. And by "parent" I mean actually take care of. Live at home into your 30s if you can - absolutely and I'm not being sarcastic. It's insane out there now - how the fûck is anyone supposed to live?!? But you live at home like an adult - you take care of the house; you take care of yourself. Even if your mum insists on doing the laundry, do it yourself whenever you can get to it before she does. Keep the bathroom and kitchen clean. Yes - be a friggin' live-in maid. That was the only way I could afford to go to university, and I count myself lucky my parents were on board with it. They didn't have to pay for lawn mowing, leaf clearing, snow clearing, window washing, laundry, vacuuming, dusting, bathroom cleaning. in exchange I got food and a roof over my head while I went to school. (Thanks, mum and dad!)
I love that it is so much easier to blame Boomers than take responsibility for your choices.
Who paid to raise you? Who paid for your education? Who has always stood by you? Do you go home at Christmas and tell your parents they have failed you?
My parents both planned on being ministers, so they hadn't given a thought to how to afford three kids. Then they divorced, dad went ahead with being a minister and Mom had almost no options in 1970, but she still made more than he did. Neither set a penny aside for our education. Dad deliberately embarrassed and belittled us all our lives. Nobody asked me if I wanted to be born, and if they'd shown me a 30 second trailer to this movie, I would have said no thanks. We're taught to think life is such a gift and we must be grateful. Counterpoint: it's not, and we don't have to
Load More Replies...Current theory as to why: our parents were on phone calls all the time when we were kids (thanks to prevalence of mobile phones combined with increased need to work) and would, naturally, tell us off if we talked while they were calling someone. Thus, we began to associate talking on the phone with stress.
Not for me. I have difficulty relating to people if I don't know them VERY well. I've learned to pick up cues from facial expressions and vocal tones (it's not automatic for me; people=noisy furniture) and those don't translate well over voice calls.
Load More Replies...I let it keep ringing. If it’s important, they’ll start to leave a voicemail. If not, they’re either on less important priorities or a scam.
And the community chest cards all say, 'why don't you get a job?' or 'Nobody wants to work anymore' followed by 'Pay £100 for Uber eats avocado on toast'
You’re like “what is even the feckin point in being on this earth at all?”
Life has always been that way, nothing is handed to you and you do not have any special rights.
My boomer siblings had ZERO student loans because university cost like $500 a year and you could use your summer job to pay it. My GenX tuition was closer to $5000 a year and i worked full-time overnight shifts all year long to graduate with no debt. My GenZ kid's technical school was $36,000 for the 2 year program (accelerated) in tuition alone. He tried to work as many hours as he could but he ended up with loans and I did as well (Parent PLUS) because rent and food is also exponentially more expensive than it was in the 80s.
Load More Replies...Seemiller mentions that while characterizing different age groups is common, it’s often counterproductive. She said that assigning particular traits to a group of people fails to acknowledge the importance of outside factors that might help recognize why they're struggling. Let’s take the articles that say Gen Z quits when things get hard, for instance.
“First, not all Gen Zers quit when things get hard. Look at all the athletes, entrepreneurs, and everyday kids who persist beyond any obstacles thrown their way," explains Seemiller.
"Second, if a large number of Gen Zers are prone to quitting, what factors might be leading to that? For example, in the job market…is it to take another higher-paying job because the economy is tough and they can’t make ends meet? Is it to have a better work-life balance and tend to their mental health needs, which we know are high? There is always more to the story than just the observable behavior.”
Telly Savalas, the beloved poster child of the boomer generation. Smoker who could not quit for his dear life. Heavy drinker and alleged sex addict. Self styled "world class gambler" who lost millions at the blackjack table. Married a girl 35 years his younger. Discharged from the Army after training without a single day of active service (and went on to pretend to be a veteran), but landed on a cushy government job quickly achieving the title of executive director. Showed up to a random audition in place of a friend and got the job thrown at him.
Seems to me we are utterly able to decide if we are boys or girls - and we are no longer afraid of speaking up and informing people. Yes I am a girl. I have been a girl my entire life. The only people who gets to question my genitals are those I allow access to them: doctors and lovers/spouses
We (in the States, at least) have outdated citizens in positions of federal authority aspiring to dictate that choice for us.
I would GLADLY give up the 5x appreciation of my house in order for those younger to afford what I have. Tell me how to slap the s*** out of the market? I did NOT close a door, it was slammed behind me.
And I appreciate that. I know it wasn't all of your generation that created the market we have today. It probably wasn't even most of you. It was those in law making positions that did it for the kickback while selling the idea to the masses that it was a good thing. You can slap the s**t out of the market by finding a deserving individual or family and selling the house without the 5x appreciation, and convince others to do the same. I don't know enough about economics to know if that's going to be good or bad in the long run, but it'll definitely slap the s**t outta the market. And I suspect the people it'll hurt the most are the ones at the top of the money pile, but f**k them, our distribution of wealth is so f****d they can take losing some of that power
Load More Replies...bit of boomer reality - we have houses that are worth far too much . ok, so what? what good does it do us? if we stay where we live its just a house and the value means nothing, if we move we have to pay too much for the house we move in to. the only way the cash is freed is when we die, and we don't get that - our kids do . and do really you think for one second that any ordinary working boomer doesn't want to see his kids and grandkids in a nice home of their own without having to die. Our generation did not do this, those in power did and they are still in power now. that's your target .. go!!!
Those in power are also boomers (for the most part), they were put in power by boomers (for the most part). I hope you're voting for younger candidates who want to change things in ways that will not favor boomers, especially at the local level.
Load More Replies...Thank you, Geoffrey. Qasim, I completely understand that some people of my generation were, and still are, privileged and entitled. That was not me, or anyone I knew. I am 63 years old, and I started getting social security at the beginning of this year. The social security monthly payment, that I worked 45 years to earn, allows me to cut my hours at the nursing home kitchen back from 40 to 30. I hope you feel better about your generational suffering knowing that I am in the same boat. P.S. I take my turn rowing. I mentor the hardworking and inclusive young people i work with. I tell the older folk who say 'the young people dont want to work anymore' to put it where the sun don't shine. I volunteer. And, I also continue to honor my lifelong commitment to my children to help them in any way I can.
Around 52% of Millennials own homes at 40, versus, 54% of Gen-Xers who owned homes at the age of 40. Around 64% of boomers owned homes at 40. So home ownership among Boomers was 23% higher than among Millenials. From the memes here, though, you would think that it was 25% of Millennials versus 90% for Boomers.
Microwaves cost $900-1400. Cameras were $200-2000. Plane tickets were $600+ one way. Nintendo was $400 and a 20" TV cost $1000. Computers were $2000+. Certain luxury items were out of reach of most. Houses were not 17k. More like 60k-150k for 1200sq ft. Cars were 13k-20k. Minimum wage was $2.49 to $4.90 depending on state and now its $16.42. Nobody forced anyone to go to college. Fun fact most people don't use the degrees they got
Oh yeah I forgot we had to rent a vcr at Kmart and rent vhs tapes. Gas was $1.79 and cigarettes were $3 while minimum wage was $4.27. Now gas is $5 and cigarettes $8 and minimum wage $16.47. Other than food and housing some things are cheaper and more accessible/ affordable

Load More Replies...There is one issue that I’ve heard lots and lots about from young people that hasn’t been mentioned here yet. Only the young have a horrible card dealt them: many are aware from a very young age that the planet is in serious trouble- it’s literally on fire, it’s getting worse and worse, and politicians and others in positions of power don’t seem to care, which often leads kids and the young to experience feelings of complete powerlessness. Imagine growing up with that burden on your shoulders! Older generations haven’t had the experience that many younger people live with every day- that *there might not be any hope*, and nobody will help. Everything is going to hell, many are looking forward to a probable lifelong poverty, they will suffer in life and possibly die early, and nobody is going to help them avoid it. Imagine the mental pressure of *growing up* in this reality! Sometimes I feel that it’s a miracle that *all* younger people don’t have serious mental health issues.
The world is FIGURATIVELY on fire. Not literally.

Not that the wars were justified or glorious or anything just another point of our suffering and sacrifice that is largely ignored by boomers who fought in 0 wars. Just a rant from a veteran who spent too much of their youth in the desert to pay for college....
Gen X living through those same things watching themselves lose everything they worked for.
Plus we lived through TWO possible WW3es and the first one would kill 90% of the people on Earth
Load More Replies...If we looked even closer at the data, we would see that to succeed in this day and age, we need to consider a lot of additional factors like rising wealth inequality, stagnant salaries, and the need for more advanced and expensive education to compete in the labor market. The “delayed adulthood” that many young people experience is not related to their personalities but rather to external aspects like high housing costs.
Medication for mental illness does not necessarily disqualify you for military service, at least in the US. At induction you get a mental health evaluation and it is the outcome of that evaluation that can disqualify someone. Disclose your conditions and the meds you take for them and you'll probably be allowed to get a really stylish haircut.
When the government needs you, they will decide you don't need any medications.
Even if I hadn't been confined to the loony bin several times in my life, no way in hell would I ever pass their psych eval LOL.
So f**k the US military, looks like they are the ones who want to start the next WW.
We're actually not doing much, which is frustrating because we're not using our big swinging d**k for any good in Gaza. Just giving bombs and munitions :(

Load More Replies...Everyone wants the most conveniently and centrally located high demand area to live in. That's why housing is expensive in those areas. There are over 100 homes by me going for 200k or less. I wake up to lake views in a safe and serene environment that's one hour from NYC. I haven't locked my car doors since I've lived here, that's how safe and nice it is. But people don't want the starter house where they have to commute. They want walking distance from where they're employed or in the heart of a major city. They want the convenience of being in uber eats range of lots of food places and entertainment. And they want it to be affordable. That's not how it works. It's never been how it works.
I don't know why anyone would leave car doors unlocked. Regardless of where you live, that's just asking for trouble. In my humble opinion.

Unfortunately not a lot of jobs are remote (still) and you need to live where there's work. And as I've discovered since moving from Maryland to Colorado, the job market for my skill set doesn't exist out here.

Another example where stereotyping becomes counterproductive is our concern over climate change. Many people assume that younger generations are the most worried about this issue and are the ones leading movements against global warming. However, after Bobby Duffy, author of The Generation Myth: Why When You’re Born Matters Less Than You Think, analyzed public opinion, he found that anxiety about the climate crisis is rising among all age groups, with little difference between them.
Some boomer got house AND regular vacations while working as mailman, waitress, teacher, nurse... try that know 😅
Blame the republicans and government system set up to take legalized bribes that benefit themselves and the rich.
Load More Replies...I can't remember how much my ex-husband and I paid for our house but it was cheap. Unfortunately everything else about the house was also. Over the course of the next three decades every part of it has been ripped out and replacd. Boomers didn't buy palaces, we bought shacks that were barely livable in neighborhoods that were built in a few months. We did it so we could have something of our own and not have to live with our parents in the same house where they had also lived with theirs. You say that there are no affordable houses any more and that is true. But housing now has standards ans builders can no longer justt slap some paint on a shack and call it a house.
It wants to buy a house but cannot afford to. So penis is sad and wants to pop the housing bubble.

Seriously!!! Way to show just how little school helped this meme maker to learn even basic grammar. Millennials, it's true, your parents were generally asleep at the wheel, but the education was there if you actually wanted it. The fact that not every millennial has problems with basics is proof that the rest had options. The Internet made things too easy.

Counterpoint here. Whose job was it to LEARN. that's more like it.
Nah, you all didn’t want to learn. We Gen-xers didn’t either, but there was less stuff to not learn.
In addition, he revealed that while younger-generation activism brings attention to this problem, Boomers are more likely to change their behavior to help the planet. This means that generational stereotypes of “selfish” older generations and caring Gen Z can be misleading. It also puts our faith in younger generations, hoping they’ll solve this global issue rather than encouraging all of us to step in and help.
To be fair, there is a lot of hateful content on the internet. But you can choose to watch hedgehogs taking a bath instead, and quite frankly, I recommend it.

I'm a sort-of boomer (born early 60's) and wouldn't touch Faux news with a 20-ft. pole.
Like peers don't influence each other. No it's all mummy and daddy's fault.
When a generation acts like children and blames their parents, the government, the housing market, the climate, etc for their lot in life then they're hopeless. The ones who say, "you know what, this sucks but I've still got to get by" are the ones with grit. They'll find a way to succeed in spite of it all. They're the winners. The ones who complain and whine about what Mom and Dad didn't do for them are losers.
Our generation is offended by the crippling economy and lack of bright future. Your generation is offended by rainbow flags and being held accountable for your screw-ups. Don't lecture me.
Right... blame the previous generation for everything you learned on the internet, sure, that's smart

“For example, many Gen Xers were latch-key kids growing up—not all, but a lot. And those who weren’t still came of age in an era when this was a trend.
Knowing that many Gen Xers prefer hands-off leadership and autonomy at work (as evidenced by research) can give a supervisor a starting point to better understand the expectations of their employee. However, having a conversation about one’s individual needs and preferences is also essential," she says.

Born 1978, definitely identify as Xennial. As per Wikipedia: “ Xennials are the micro-generation of people on the cusp of the Generation X and Millennial demographic cohorts. Many researchers and popular media use birth years from 1977 to 1983, though some extend this further in either direction.”
I'm still advocating for those of use born b/t the end of 1964 and 1970. I'm too young to be a boomer but too old for Gen X.
Haha that’s me! I’m early Gen Z and am absolutely not interested (or knowledgeable) on most of the late Gen Z/Gen alpha trends! I refused to become part of the TikTok world. And don’t even get me started on all the weird words these kids keep making up! I’m with millennials and the rest of them on that 😅
Wut? Like none of us created weirdarse words? Boomers had dumb slang and diners/drive-ins, we GenX had dumb slang and funniest home videos, Millenials had dumb slang and vine/youtube, now GenZ and GenAlpha have dumb slang and tiktok. None of this is new.

Load More Replies...??? Younger GenX is extremely liberal with its use of lol, though may of us capitalise the L's.
Lol.. I even say it in my sleep. My gravestone that I won't have because too expensive will also have lol.
She signs off by saying that people can take advantage of their differences and learn something from them. “Younger generations can learn a lot from Boomers as well as they can learn a lot from their younger colleagues/friends/family members who can provide an alternative to instinctual decision-making by offering more data-driven solutions. Thus, between the two, the best idea might emerge.”
I agree. "Prince Charming, Ridicule is nothing to be scared of".
Load More Replies...This is Gen X, and I don't say s**t about millennials or Gen Z bc I feel the same as they do. Quit getting us confused with Boomers. Boomers were MY parents, not me.
That´s so true. I feel much more with all the generations Y, Z or whatever comes. I care for ALL that live WITH me and AFTER me and try to do as much to leave as less damage to what we leave for the others. I don´t OWN the world, I am a parttime guest here. What disconcerns me is that now we seem to have a "new" generation every ten years who seems to have the urge to raise borders against the one before them. Due to a whole new generation needs at least 25-30 years to create (based on the average age of the mother/parents) there are always some "overlappings". The speed of (digital and technical) development is what changes really quick. But me, as a gen-z, have lived through many of these developments. The key here is not to stop going with the flow, if you don´t want to lose connection to the world around you and what will come, till you die. If you leave the flow and stand at the side you will never be happy or empathetic with the younger ones. Theirs is the future planet.
Load More Replies...Aren't mullets, mustaches and outfits like these all the rage again...?
Mullet hairstyle has a long history. As far back as Neanderthals, Ancient Greece so on. I know there are Mullet contests here in the US and UK that I have heard of, probably more countries. I believe the winner of the last 2 years in the US if from near me in NY. They even have kid mullet contests.

Every generation has their fashion styles that when you get older and look back on them. You think "what was I thinking? What was the whole fashion world thinking?" My personal favorite embarrassment was elephant bell legged pants ...highwasted..I looked like I was being swallowed by them.
I went shopping for jeans this past week at target. The clothes of my youth are back!
we call them mobile phones so i guess we are free and mobile...bad luck america
We called them "Handy", although, if I am correct, this is swiss and not german. Now we say mostly "Smartphone". The right word would be "Mobiltelefon".
Load More Replies...I constantly annoyed by people who think their language is the be all end all for definition. Like people saying it's "The Sun" because of Jesus "The Son". Which only works in English.
There are some 2000 years old writing complaining about young people so i guess it's a human thing.
Really, every generation bitching about every other generation is right
Load More Replies...The current generation is called Alpha. Evidently ...I can't wait to see what they have to say about the preceding ones.
In case the joke isn't understood: Based on the popular meme: "Press F to pay respects".
I understand I'm supposed to pitch a hissy fit when someone says that to me, but I can't understand why. I am a boomer, and I think "ok" is a good answer to most of the things I say. Can't get much more respectful than that....
one of my teachers is always like 'my generation f****d up study hard to fix it'
Load More Replies...Honestly, Gen Z has been nothing but a let down at this point. They were supposed to eat the rich, but have they? No, they have not.
If I’m being so fr we’re all gonna be killed by climate change or something lol
Well that might be what will happen if we actually tried as a whole to FIX OUR PROBLEMS.
Do most people type on a mental device? Spiritual? Hint: your phone is a physical device.
Hey!! Im a fairly new Gen Z and I don't do like- most of this. I still dont have a phone. It's fine- You;ll suvive without a phone.
one kid in my class turned up today with that fvckboy hairstyle and i swear i wanted to punch his barber
Wut? GenX ain't yelling at any kid. We're too busy and too apathetic for that.
Gen X ain't telling millennials or Gen Z to 'shut up'. We're too busy just getting on with things. We're a little proud of some of the things you guys are saying and doing, but also a little little concerned about how dumb social media is making you look.
For some who don't know, the cat and the screaming blonde lady were from the reality show The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
You are allowed to laugh at it! I can laugh at a millennial meme if it's good.
Load More Replies...Gen x here, i laughed at this. It is way too funny and relatable to be a Gen Z meme.
I don't know why but I feel like we aren't the generation you're thinking of.
Load More Replies...To be fair, being on a phone doesn't mean you're on social media.
Load More Replies...Ok, I wouldn't say I'm one of these people, but usually the minions are connected to what most see as what is: the most dull format for a joke, it's always just minions on a grey background saying the exact same phrase.
Why did the bowl cut ever have to exist? It never looked good, not even on the Beatles who helped popularize it.
I never got sick with Covid. Haven't been sick in over 5 years.
you were one of the lucky ones. Many people I know had to be hospitalized because of it and I myself had it 3 or 4 times, although it was not all that severe.
Load More Replies...Yes, they have better lives. The real problem is they think the opposite. They think everything is going to hell when it's just normal world problems.
Gospel truth. The list is endless: Union jobs (or nonunion jobs that had to at least wage compete), vote anti-union. Affordable housing, vote against multifamily zoning and kept the 2nd "retirement home". -Benefited from public education, now call it liberal indoctrination. Their women broke glass ceilings, but now "feminism's gone too far". Kept alive on SS, SSD, MC, MCAID, Adv Plans, VA "disabilities", fear socialism (all these are socialist programs you boomer MAGAT morons). Kept alive via pharmaceuticals, distrust science and slash med research funding with their vote. Alive during segregation, but deny racism. Prolife, but vote against any safety nets from prenatal care to SNAP to CHIP. Benefited from affordable education, resent loan forgiveness. Love our grandkids, but ensure their environment is a barren hellscape. Children are precious, but their number one killer is guns and male boomers wet themselves without em, so school shootings it is. They hand-wring over secularism and moral "relativism", while ignoring every positive instruction in their bibles. They ushered in the 50% divorce rate, while using "sanctity of marriage" to keep gays from marrying. They insisted on abstinenceonly ed, now have STI rates on par with college campuses. This is the generation that wet-blanketed #me too and BLM enthusiastically, from the comfort of their recliners in front of Fox news. They are still majority election deniers. F**k them. The boomer generation is soaked in a level of staggering collective hypocrisy that will be studied academically some day. You don't get to carry the mantle of patriotism, then not give a flying f**k about anyone who lives here. You don't get to plaster "freedom" on your trucks and shirts, while voting us into theocratic fascism. Boomer scum, on the whole, abso-f*****g-lutely. The single most patriotic thing a boomer can do is stay the f**k home on election day.
How about we all just own our mistakes and work towards a better world for everybody. And by own our mistakes I mean both individual and generational. I can acknowledge that myself and many of my generation are lazy, or at least can be perceived that way. The reasons may or may not be valid but that isn't important here. The accountability is. Boomers, yes the policies enacted by your generation are directly attributable to many current issues. They may have been good at the time, but again, not important to owning that they no longer are
Yeah definitely gen z that is ruining everything, not human in general 🙄

Yeah no just about everyone I know is sarcastic as f**k

Judging by the comments and responses here on bp, I totally agree with this one
This exactly describes my boomer life. There's nothing new here. (Side note: minimum wage was $1.70.)
30k in student loans is less than a decent car - if you have decent interest rate. It took me a time to use my degree too. Housing on the other hand, holy s**t. - boomer
That´s not a boomer v gen z Problem. That´s an American social and political system problem. Same goes for health care, public transport, suburbal zoning etc. ...

Disagree, they knew the world before the internet and computers and did not grow up with technology. My parents who are boomers can’t print something without my help.

It's still better than Gen Alpha slang, I swear they only know two words.
I have two siblings who are Gen Alpha...its terrible

So much this. Nothing about stereotyping is 'hilariously accurate' as the current title states.
Load More Replies...Daaaaaaaaaaa, shush! Be quiet. Keep your head down. Don't draw attention to us. They can play their little intergenerational games. We'll keep doing what we do, not attracting the attention of others.
Load More Replies...I have an idea for a better generalisation: boomers - hard workers, know how to raise even a large family in low income, living history books, fascinating to learn from. Gen x: firsts to experience modern technology, amazing to go to for technical problems of vintage devices, firsts to have more education options and work flexibility so great for career advice. Milennials: firsts to witness the raise of the Internet as we know it, flexible people, overly creative, "the sky is the limit" mindset in business. Great advisers to go to for those who don't want to have a typical, traditional life and need advice. Gen z: fearless, firsts to break the norm in a work environment, in tune with up and coming technology and fashion trends, healing generational trauma. How about we just learn from each other? ❤️
That's certainly a better way of looking at it, but even positive generalisations are a load of hairy old bollocks. Just as much as negative stereotypes, there are people who will fit them and people who won't. Categorising people according to arbitrary 'generations', and subsequently making claims about their personalities, experiences etc. only serves to divide people even more than we already are.
Load More Replies...I feel like these were all made by millennial and Gen X, with a few from Gen Z mixed in. But I could never guess why.
