Artist Takes Characters From Pop Culture And Switches Their Gender (24 Pics)
Canadian artist and illustrator Sakimi Chan created an exciting series of gender-bend pieces of famous characters. In this series, the 29-year-old artist, also known as Sakisakimi, takes characters from pop culture and flips their gender and the results are fantastic. Many of these gender-switched characters look even more attractive than before!

This one's great. I love how majestic it is. And the white hair is brilliant.
For her gender-bent series, the artist tries to stay true to the original design and look to make her portraits look realistic and just on-point. However, she always adds her own creative touch to make them distinct and unique. Most of them have features that you can find in popular Japanese anime or manga.

The artist is self-taught, but she received some guidance from some of her college teachers and game companies, which she has worked for. Most of her skills, though, came from hard work and experimenting a lot. Sakimi Chan is very picky when it comes to her work so her digital portraits and dreamlike depictions are always extremely detailed and flawless.

In which incarnation does the joker appear as sexy? I've always thought of the joker as a deranged dower character. Is this an excuse to create lust porn', rather than how the character would be portrayed in the alternative gender?

I really like the art for these and I think they're really cool but Sakimichan is kinda famous for drawing anatomically improbable lewds of anime characters, so I guess she's used to making people more... physically endowed than necessary?

Reminds me of Bianca "Joker" Steeplechase from "Batman: Thrillkiller" (for her character, imagine if Joker and Poison Ivy had a daughter). Maybe the artist should do genderbends of the different Jokers (Cesar Romero, Jack Nicholson, Heath Ledger, Jared Leto, Joaquin Phoenix).

I'm totally cool with the sexualization, at least of most of the males based on female characters. (ie: Jessica Rabbit, Ariel, etc.) The original versions were hyper-sexualized too. It's only fair to make them eye candy again.

Male versions could have been more masculine, if the point was a gender-switch... Those guys are in fact designed as females with just abs instead of boobs...
