Game Of Thrones season 7 just ended leaving many viewers with emptiness inside. While fans hybernate for almost 2 years waiting for another thrilling episode, all that's left to do is to appreciate some high quality fan art of the series.
Andrew Tarusov, a Russian-born artist famous for redrawing popular characters in Tim Burton's style, has decided to dedicate his newest work to the world of Game Of Thrones. The illustrations feature a sad-eyed Jon Snow, fan favorite couple Brianne Of Tarth and Tormund (let's hope he makes it!) and many more. Would you watch Game Of Thrones as Tim Burton's cartoon? Nice try but I don't think the artist fully gets Burtons style.
Dang Andrew... reading your replies to your post... triggered much? Side note: sometimes people will quote the show to be funny. Freaking out and seeming offended just makes you look silly and it's hard to take you seriously after.
I'm freaking out? I'm simply explaining my point of view and trying to understand what some people's actual points are. "Triggered" is such a ridiculous word being thrown about lately. Some lazy schoolyard slang, because it sounds like something a child would say.
@Cassie Conrad and to what aim?
Everything before the word "but" is horseshit. 😂
@Andrew, they were quoting the show.
How is it horseshit? Do you know exactly what I meant by those two words? Did we have an extensive conversation about this? No? Then don't give me blunt comments like that.

I don't think "Tim Burton style" necessarily means 100% Tim Burton. Artists usually like their art to have an own signature, even if they dedicate it to a specific style they often tend to mix it a little with their very own style.
"If Tim Burton Illustrated ‘Game Of Thrones’ Characters" does not mean what you think it means, Tiger.
The article wasn't exactly written with a percentage in mind. As for signature style. A watered down version of Tim Burton is barely a style. There are other illustrators that reflect his style but give so much of there own. This person doesn't do that. He gives them a mild imitation of the proportions of a Tim Burton character and contrives badly drawn lines to make it see authentic. Burton has that kind of style, yes, but with his background as a Disney animator he knows when to push the design of a character and why he's doing it. His better understand of anatomy as an animator also knows how to draw a character in the rough style he has but still have them look like they could move and the arms of some of these drawings would not look so disjointed
Okay... I guess I'm going to be burnt on the spot for saying this but I think these drawings lack maturity (stylistically speaking, I'm not commenting on the idea). For me the artist must put more work into his art. Sorry I had to say it, now you can watch me burn.
big eyes = Burton style!? GOT is great for upvotes! OK then, my cat is a GOT Dragon as much as you are an artist. Stop it, do your art, your OWN, it will be good, better than that anyway...
