The fake number is a classic escape technique that girls use on creepy guys they meet all the time, but in some cases, it can backfire. They might try to stalk you on social media or harass your friends and situations can escalate. One girl’s guy friend gave her a different solution.

He offered his own cell number up as tribute to the cause and received a wave of creepy messages. Well as some people do when the person on the other line doesn’t know who they are texting, he decided to use the opportunity to troll these guys. Scroll down below to see the text message exchanges between these guys and “the girl” from the bar.

An advice: Kids, don't search for a friend who will die for you or kill for you or help you hide a body, look for a friend who would deal with creeps for you. That's a sign of true friendship :)

What if you 'dealt' with the creep and are helping hide the body? is that still true friendship?

Take the dude's phone and tell him you will put your number in there. Then change the contact for his mom to your name....

If a boy is acting like that, there's a good chance his father is the same.

All this discussion about how she is handling these 'creeps' and no discussion about the real problem. Which is that these 'creeps' not only exist, but are so prevalent that no one seems to think it's weird or out of the ordinary to encounter them. Its not our job to figure out a way to handle you...its your job to stop being so f*****g creepy!

Everyone needs a friend like that who would deal with creeps or just with people in general (especially for introverts) for them.

I am happy to go alone into most pubs in my small town centre - just to socialise or for a change of scenery, I either know the staff or at least some of the customers. One place in particular, they know me well and would always look out for me so know I am safe - guy who was semi-stalking me is banned from even going in. Would not however go into a club or large strange pub alone.

Actually I would, in a strange town, go into a wetherspoons, there is always a quiet corner and newspapers, just so you ignore everyone with a sandwich - no-one bothers you in there
