All this did was caused her to sue them which is still ongoing and it’s been private due to secrecy and judicial laws in Brazil… However she got fired from her job because of all the publicity and thanks to the overly entitled woman and her spoiled brat of a child this woman now has made being on Instagram her full-time career. Had a similar situation with a parent, though no filming/shaming etc. I'm way too tall to sit anywhere but a legroom seat or exit row and I always have to pay extra. And I always get the aisle seat too so I can get up easily. So when a woman who had booked her child in the middle seat next to me asked me to switch with her and take her seat--in the middle seat of the non-legroom row in front of me--I said, "sorry, no. I need this legroom and I paid extra for it." She was nonplussed. She finally said "ok but you're going to have to sit next to a loud child the whole flight". I smiled and pulled out my noise-cancelling headphones. Plan ahead, people, or make it worth my while to suffer. At first I was like 'Am I being a jerk?' But d**n I paid for that seat and planned ahead and needed the seat. I went from being embarrassed and feeling bad to being angry at her for making me be "the bad guy". Oh and the little girl was perfectly-well behaved. No issues on the cross-country flight.

There are podcasts, commentary, gaming, sketch comedy videos, and even shows you would regularly watch on TV that upload their content on YouTube.
Reddit, on the other hand, is more for niche communities. 26% of Americans use Reddit regularly, but it's more of a place for fandoms, gaming, hobby communities, meme culture, and just good ol' trolling. Of course, it can also be a breeding ground for misinformation, but such is the way with self-regulated communities.

Fighting misinformation on Reddit is a Sisyphean feat. As the moderator of r/politics, u/Qu1nlan, explained to NPR in 2019, "We are a team of about 50 moderators on a subreddit of 5.6 million people. We don't have resources that a team like Facebook or Twitter might have with tons and tons of paid fact-checkers," he went on.
"So generally, when we see fake news that we know is not factually correct, we'll go ahead and encourage our user base to go ahead and fact-check it themselves and also comment – say, well, here's why this news is fake, and here [are] the sources to back it up. And here's why you shouldn't believe everything that you see on the Internet."

Also look at cost. Sears Catalog 1955, average standard fridge with a freezer compartment was $700.... back then, which is $8700 today. Held 30% less for the same exterior size (which is smaller than modern ones exterior size) used 2.5 times the power of a similar exterior size fridge today, and used dangerous chemicals inside for cooling. They lasted, but you have to look at the full picture, oh and median family income then was $4,400 a year, or 1/6th your yearly salary. Median family income in the US 2025 was 83,600, which means a fridge costing 1/6th your yearly income would be over $13,000. Its why most working class families in the 50s didnt have them.

This is stupid. I don't love having a car that can't be fixed without a laptop either, but I don't want a car without anti-lock breaks (microcontroller), I don't want to pay for twice as much fuel as is strictly necessary (engine management system), and I don't want to either manually wind my windows or risk a child being choked by a powered window coming up when they've got their head out (there's a microcontroller that detects that and prevents injury).
