Glad I'm not the only one that sees the problem of telling people how they're "acting". All my life I'm told "stop acting up." "You don't need to act like that." "You don't need to act angry." It's the ones who think people "act" that are the ones who do act, I've found.
I like this one incident I overheard. Girl just got her wisdom teeth removed. She's outside waiting for her mom to pull up to take her home. Guy walks by, telling her to smile. She opens her mouth and blood just gushes out. Serves him right.
I have a pile of worksheets waiting for me and an 1800 word essay that needs HEAVY revision.
IT departments need to stop acting like a "secure" password is such an important requirement, when it has been proven over and over that the weakest link in the security chain is not how complicated the password is, but how easily people are fooled into giving up information to people who shouldn't have access to it.
The book on the right is where my mom must be coming up with the hundreds of questions about my every decision I make for myself. By questions, I mean suggestions posed as questions that are actually attempts at making me agree with her ideas.
Person 1, "Don't be sad". Person 2, "Why not?". Person 1, "I can so much more done when I'm angry".
That was on my counter two nights ago and yes I mangled the whole top and considered just cutting the entire top off, but what if an invisible piece of cardboard gets in the macaroni, omg! I kept going and tore the top off and I made TWO boxes, hahaha! Pasta pasta nom!
I have one sister who absolutely hates my sense of humor, so I make sure she gets more of it than anyone else.
Look at this stuff, isn't it neat? Wouldn't you think my collection's complete? Wouldn't you think I'm the girl, the girl who has everything?
The ADHD paralysis: Staring off into space, deep in thought. Mainly contemplating how bad they need to get up, need a job, what could possibly go wrong if they don't show up for work, with an endless loop of that one song stuck in their head all week, along with another song that popped in that morning. Time goes by too quickly in these moments. What feels like 5 minutes ends up being 30 minutes and now contemplating taking an uber to work.
I didn't enjoy season 2 of "Wednesday" as much as season 1, but I love the episode where Wednesday and Enid swap bodies. Must have been fun for Ortega and Myers.
Not me, but this sure explains a lot about politics, finance, management, sport, relationships, ...
I once messed up vegetarian and veterinarian into "veteritarian" and my weird humor had me say, "What do they eat? Um... It's vets who only eat the animals they can't save." Most of the people in the group were like cracking up but my aunt-in-law looked on in horror cuz I forgot she used to work at an animal shelter. Lol woops.
Is that an anthropomorphic piece of Cinnamon Toast Crunch? Did I miss a super creepy and campaign?

Me: then remembers how good my book was and the matter is settled
You know the society is cooked AF when being a wage sl@ve is seen as a privilege worth asking God for
One of my least favorite genres of people are those who are all like "I have such a dark sense of humor hahaha!" and in fact they're just bigots
Yesterday evening: my mother "do you want to stay or go?", Mr Auntriarch "what do you want to do?", me "I want someone to tell me what to do!"
Me when I start talking about universal basic income, 4-hour 4-day work week and abolishing national borders before I realize sheer majority of people are nowhere as left as I am
Every single time I watch Sleepless in Seattle. Puts me out every time.
"Hella" is a Northern Californian slang term meaning "very," "really," or "a lot of". Derived from "hell of a (lot)," it acts as an intensifier for adjectives or nouns (e.g., "hella good," "hella people"). It originated in the SF Bay Area/Oakland in the late 1970s and is a staple of West Coast slang.
See! I told you so. You cannot skip one day telling your girl how much you love her and how beautiful she is.
