The world isn’t divided into introverts and extroverts—it's a continuum, and most people actually land somewhere in the middle because they have traits of both personality characteristics. That means that when you hear someone talk about skipping out on plans because they’re exhausted, having their ‘social battery’ drained, and needing some alone time, you’re bound to relate.
That’s where the massively popular ‘Introverts are Awesome’ social media project comes in. It shares some of the most witty and relatable memes about what it’s like to be introverted. We’ve collected some of the best ones to share with you, Pandas. Scroll down to check ‘em out! And don’t forget to upvote the ones that made you say “same” or “mood.”

I'm an extrovert, way more extroverted than the average. I always try to treat introverts the way I think they prefer: Patience, not forcing them into social situations, not burning their social batteries, etc. It's because I feel like an outlier and I wish people would consider that interacting with society which is less extroverted than me is sometimes confusing and tiring. I often feel like many, many people are more closed-off, more distant, than me, and so, so often I feel like everyone hates me. It took a long time to explain it to myself that just because people are not as open and enthusiastic about every interaction as I am, it doesn't mean that they hate interacting with me. So I try to imagine what it must feel like for introverts on the other end of the spectrum. Their social preferences might be the direct opposite of mine but I appreciate that their needs are the outlier in society, just like mine.
I thought everyone did this.... but, yes, I do have GAD; I just didn't think this was a sign of it.
Absolutely this. Need the rest of the day to mentally prepare (and by that I mean over-think every possible eventuality).
If it's after work and I have my sweats on already, I'm not going out shopping at Target honey, you have fun by yourself. Get me a Snickers.
My brain requires 5-7 business days to adjust to the experience of waking up (7-10 days if I was in a dream)
thank you, I like to be hydrated in the suffering of daily life
Na, I don’t wanna go to your party, I’d much rather hang in my den, playing apex and cuddling with my cats.
This is me but instead of arguments it’s just my normal pieces are trying to convince the rest of me that I will be okay no matter what happens.
Yes. Introverted isn't necessarily shy. I may just happen to not care about your cousin's friend's coming out. And I may just happen to enjoy silence.
Aye, but replace the first day with an hour and the next day with a month.
"I read something funny and wanted to share it with you" is no less valid than "I wanted to tell you about everything I've done lately."
Oh lol I thought it was all good until I read six meals a day. It’s actually three with major snackcidents
I like to hang out with my plants, it's better than socialising 🤷♂️
I do this so much! I’ll literally just sit and stare off into nothingness for a while
Answer with: I was just about to get in the shower. That means 'yes I am' and 'you can't come over' at the same time!
Do they not understand that if employees are content they're going to be more productive!

And this, ladies, gentleman, and my non-bianary friends, is the day my parents found ✨ ONLINE ✨ SCHOOL ✨
That’s an unnecessarily negative way of saying your parents took proper care of your physical needs and the household as a whole, leaving you with sufficient mental bandwidth to read a lot.
I feel this, I usually overthink commenting here way too much because I’m way too afraid I might say something stupid or upset someone
To answer or not to answer, it’s the question. Ha nope go f**k yourselves
It takes me a looong while to remember how old I am. I’m only 15, IT SHOULDNT BE THIS HARD
Oo, I want the book on the right. I just rlly do. I dunno what’s in it, but I wanna READ IT.
Some of these r very neurodivergent so I'm sat here thinking "am I neurodivergent or just an introvert?? I didn't think I'm an introvert. Is this normal human behaviour??"
There are introverts, neurodivergent people, people with anxiety or other mental health issues etc - these memes pick at a lot of these and blur the lines a little too much. Introversion is not a guarantee of anxiety! That can be a problem for many personality types.
Load More Replies...As usual, BP, a number of these have nothing to do with being introverted. Being an introvert is not the same as having depression or social anxiety, and it's definitely not the same as being neurodivergent.
