We thought that cats were absolutely shameless creatures but it turns out that penguins are no better either.
Employees of National Aquarium of New Zealand probably got tired of penguins acting out, so they decided to do a public pet shaming of said water birds. The employees have been posting photos once a month for a whole year, announcing the offenses their cute penguins have done and gathered a lot of attention although nobody could stay mad at these adorable zoo animals for long, especially when many of them 'know how to penguin' in the right way.

Tux is a smart Bird, Penguins are known to push others into the water to see if there are Sharks, Killer Whales or Sea Lions around to check if it is safe to go in.

Oh yes have you ever seen Adventure Time? The Ice King is often thought of as the worst fiend of the land of Ooo yet he's surrounded by penguins. His most trusted, beloved/tormented companion is his penguin named Gunter - quite the mischievous, evil little thing! Ha-ha-ha! Crazy stuff huh - who could ever guess?

Well Mo does realize at least that all of this conditional, institutional living is bound to collapse eventually. Therefore he's not forgotten how to survive once things revert back to their natural habitat. Flip is simply very well assimilated to the zoo habitat & well mannered.

Exactly, see how extremely relative yet sanctimonious these monthly NAUGHTY stamped penguin mugshots are, as well as the praised Good penguins. Tee-hee-hee! Makes me think the relatively "naughty" ones are just perhaps bored & looking for their own kicks! All still silly & cute. am sure they're all well loved & looked after though by their keepers.

seems an old familiar pattern has resurfaced. notice how many times here a certain penguin once listed as "naughty" can end up listed as good & the other way around as well?! initially some seem to try to please their overlord masters with what the "overseers" deem as "good" behaviors, only for that to be reversed in the near future into "Naughty"!? only once their true penguin primal survival nature begins to come out... "the overlords" pit them against one another using public shaming & humiliation techniques. akin to the human stockades used in town squares for the same ends! Arrgh!

Uhm, earlier just theorized that all this extremely fickle human judgments all shame based upon human behaviors & religious believes!? Uffa! silly humans - primal penguin survival techniques, boredom, laughs, goofs & kicks may never be understood... so just kick back, take notes, have fun & keep enjoying being good wards of the mysterious little critters! wuak, wuak waddle walk!!!

Aw, why can't poor Timmy swim when moulting? I confess I know nothing about penguins beyond the obvious - they swim, eat fish, are cute. Can also be naughty!

I looked it up. When moulting feathers are not waterproof and slow a penguin down. I can't find anything about it being bad to swim. I think the keepers couldn't find a worse crime and were feeling really lazy so they shamed him to making them skim his feathers out of the pool! I bet the next penguin to swim during moult will be shamed too! The process takes 2-4 weeks and happens once a year. It replaces old feathers with new feathers and doesn't effect the penguin other than it's itchy and affects swimming speed.

The drama is real. They should make it into a TV show. Add subtitles and it'll be a blast XD Imagine the discussions "Oooo conspiracy theory what if Mo is only acting that way to attract Dora's attention?" "Do you think Flip's good beahvior is just a mask, hiding his inner dark intentions?" "What kind of internal rivalry forced Tux to push Timmy off the pier - perhaps there's more to that story than meets the eye?"

Whenever I think of penguins I remember the david Attenbourgh film of all the male penguins huddled together in an Antarctic blizzard sitting on their eggs for months

I like these penguins. This breed that is. They are just entertaining and fun to watch. The 2 times I have had the opportunity to watch these little treats in person. I had to be dragged away by my family because apparently 2 hours of watching them was enough.
