The University Hospital You Rotate At??
If a hospital is on university property you get stuck paying for parking. I worked at UNC Hospital and had to pay for parking. The lot I was stuck in for a couple of years had a bus in the morning if you wanted to ride it, in the afternoon no bus. I was so happy when I got bumped up to the parking deck across the street.

I'm a retired nurse. I had to learn the citric acid cycle AKA Krebs cycle or TCA cycle in nursing school. I made use of that information exactly zero times during my healthcare career.

As a complex patient with a rare disease, this is totally not accurate. Every doctor is side-eyeing the door, assessing how quickly they can make me someone else's problem instead of theirs.

Erryday In Family Medicine Clinic
I was in hospital for a heart procedure recently and the guy in the next bed was being visited by the consultant after being woken up from anaesthetic. He and his family couldn't seem to understand what was being explained to them. He uad been woken up without any procedures being done because the scans had shown that the arteries were so blocked that the damage was too extensive for stents to be effective. He was basically being told that with serious lifestyle changes he might have a few years left. His family just kept on complaining that the surgeon hadn't put in a stent. He was only in his early 50s and had basically slobbed himself to death.

Kidney stones are the worst pain I ever had. Mine aren't calcium based and I drink a lot of water. I had a BIG obstructing stone and bad infection caused by it in Jan. It woke me up very early in a Mon morning, woke my son up.. I need to go to the ER. After the CT and labs came back the ER doc was going to admit me until he asked if I have a Urologist. Yep Dr. Kim down the street, he talked to Dr. Kim who said I can do this as outpatient this week. They gave me IV abx and a script for them. Had lithotripsy Fri morning and felt like a new woman Sat morning

I don't think anybody has a problem with surgeons making 400k a year. It's the people who are making 400k a year because they started with 3billion and do nothing to help society. (Or do we?)

Trying To Schedule An Appointment With A Physician And The Receptionist Keeps Saying Pas Are Physicians

Any Fever, Cough, Sob?
Lots of people have or have had it and didn't know until they were tested. In 2000 a lady I worked with was talking to her husband on the phone and had him pull over and park. She called 911 & was transferred to the county he was in. He had a stroke that most people don't survive. When he got to the ER & tested positive for Corona. He didn't have any Corona symptoms. He was in rehab for a couple of months and is doing great.

Learning Ekgs
Here's a conundrum. I graduated from Stanford and so went to school with A LOT of pre-med and pre-law students (I was pre-law.) As people the pre-med students were AHs while the pre-law students were great: smart, gregarious, fun to be around, the life of the party. Then they join their respective professions and a change takes place. The doctors are now nice people and the lawyers are AHs. What's happening in med and law schools to account for this?
