50 Memes For Those Who Have Chosen A Childfree Lifestyle, As Shared By This Facebook Page (New Posts)
InterviewTo baby or not to baby, that is the question on many people’s minds. I’m one of those women still on the fence about whether or not to have kids. On the one hand, it’d be nice to give my parents some grandkids to spoil and love; on the other hand, every time I see a child, I cringe. Maybe not all of us are born with the calling to become mothers, and that's okay!
Thankfully, these memes about the good ole childfree life are making that decision a wee bit easier to make, as we can all agree there are as many reasons to not have children (if not more) as there are in support of it. Today, we’re featuring some of the posts by the Facebook page called “Childfree Humor,” and they’re quite funny if I do say so myself.
We had the pleasure of speaking with Veronica Prager of The Childfree Connection, and she was kind enough to answer some of our questions regarding the childfree lifestyle, so make sure you stick around for that!
And if you’re pro having kids, please don’t hate on this post! As always in life, make the choices you want, as long as you’re not intentionally harming others or yourself. For the rest of you up for a good laugh, upvote your faves, leave some comments, and if you’re craving more, here’s another Bored Panda post on the same topic. Let’s dive in, shall we?

and this sounds typical -- not as bad as it could be. I've been in meetings with parents who have said they wish they hadn't had their kids ... that their kids had ruined their lives. (My friends with time & money & kids accuse me of me of making this up, because they can't comprehend what life is like for others)
Yeah like why did you have them? If it was an accident, why didn't you get the pill or abortion? Adoption is rarely the choice, especially if they go to orphanages (yes they still exist, yes they're harmful)
THIS! THE "it is a precious soul" IS SO UNTRUE, THEY JUST LIKE TO CONTROL WOMEN! :(
accurate. https://petapixel.com/2018/10/11/this-alien-themed-maternity-shoot-is-the-stuff-of-nightmares/
Humans aren't going extinct any time soon...but why would it be so horrible anyway?
I wouldn't fechin know would I you unutterable twatmuffin. But I would certainly have known it if I'd been born to people who didn't want me .
My brother has four, so I can only say, this mitochondrial DNA dies with me
I'll use the money I got from not having kids and launch myself to space and go to cryo-sleep. Aliens can wake me up if they see me
Exactly what I've said. Same thing with abortion: "oh you don't want kids? TOO BAD, YOU HAVE TO HAVE THEM"
google theoatmeal plese and support him his comics are great and he doesnt appreciate people merching his comics and not giving him his royalty
"Ohhh....I've got three kids and no money. Why can't I have no kids and three money....?"
I can’t imagine how freaking scary it must be to go to school right now, we had tornado drills not active shooter drills and if I had any little monsters I don’t know if I could send them to school! When are we going to overhaul the gun laws for real? The NRA has been influencing the laws for way to long.
I automatically skip any man on dating apps who says, "My kids are my whole world." Oh, okay. Good to know. HARD PASS.
Um motherhard is harder than calc2 BTW . I've done both 😊
Unless you're a guy, then some might be yours and you might not even know yet.
But if you divorce their father, you only have to do it half the time.
I'm not against having kids. I think they are a gift if they are something your truly want. Enjoy your kids. You don't have to apologize for having children or wanting them. I just wish my choice not to have them wasn't looked down upon simply because I don't feel the same way. Stop looking at your childless friends like they're old maids. And stop complaining about a choice you made to have them. Whenever I see someone complain about how they never have time for themselves or their marriage is suffering because they're tired.... you chose this. You can't afford a full time nanny so, yeah, you're tired. You also don't get to be mad because people expect you to be responsible for your kids. You don't get a cookie because you pay child support or don't abuse them. You don't get to get mad because you need to control them in public as much as possible or you have to deal with children's behavior.
Realised they opened the list and thought I'd add a cute meme to calm everyone down...
Had dogs before having a kid. All it does is give you false ideas of trainability and an unreasonable expectation of obedience. And my dog was so traumatised and reactive, every trainer I spoke to wanted to put him down (obviously, didn't take their advice). Still easier than most kids I worked with. (Though pro-tip, if you raise a kid with an already trained dog, it's easier to get them to behave.)
I should say, even with the worry, I’d do it again. She was the easiest infant in the world, still is, I’d never get so lucky again. I also don’t feel what these other parents seem to feel, when I don’t have her, I’m counting down the time till I get her back. And she goes where I go so there’s no loss of freedom there either.
Please don't have children :( They're humans and humans pollute the earth. Then the earth is not livable anymore to anyone
I swear there must be a curse after birth when parents think their kids look cute. Maybe it's a post-birth survival tactic for the kids?
Some guys are just unbelievable, Seems like most of them are narcissistic
Also true for coming out as trans/gay/queer, being a feminist, not being religious, and god forbid you make eye contact with that Karen…
Saying this in advance: no, the kids are not hurt by it. They're just saying not everyone should be forced to have kids.
"Every time you ask about grandkids, I'm (we're) getting another cat. Let me hear you."
Yeah like, kids are not objects or toys. They need stable household
Oh my, this makes me think of how my Mom will always say how she loves her children and she'd never put anything before them, but then she'll constantly yell at us for every. Single. Thing. And then blames stuff on us
The baby and toddler years are actually the easiest. It is mostly just physically exhausting and expensive. When they become teens they learn psychological warfare.
The problem in my country is that they say "yes". And bring their kids with them.
Totally support not having kids, having them or not having them, it's a selfish choice either way really. But I am horrified at some of the comments here, it seems like we've gone from a reasonable "we shouldnt be d***s to people who don't won't children" to a non-equivalent "we SHOULD definitely try and be rude to people who do". It's not really how being inclusive works.
Yep. 100% agree. In particular the most vocal ones also seem to be "but if it was furbabies". Like, imagine if a cat or dog would come up and tell you they loved you, and also they drew a picture of you. People like that would go insane from the adorability. Kids do it, and apparently parents are the spawn of satan for feeling the same. BP is super weird sometimes.

preach! you all do you and that's good enough <3
Load More Replies...This, like every fecking thing in the internet hive mind, has went too far the opposite way. Not everyone with kids judges those of us without kids. However, what could have been a positive article for child free adults has turned into bashing kids and those who have kids. There are still plenty of good people who weren't f'd up during childhood or who just have that maternal/paternal pull, being cruel to them because you took a different route is just wrong.
I agree. I am sick of these wannabe cool people " I'm not having kids". You dont eant kids? Then dont f***in' have them. I dont care. But the people who do have kids have NOT ruined their lives. Yes things arent the same as before but you love 'em more than anything, good and bad days. Sick of the bashing left right and centre. Have kids or dont, then shut up.
