Entitled Realtor Expects 7-Month Pregnant Neighbor To Shovel Snow For Open House, Gets Told Off
The best kinds of neighbors are the ones who look out for one another and don’t hold on to petty grudges. Even though there might be moments of conflict between them, it’s the times of strife that can really test that neighborly bond.
In this particular case, a pregnant woman was really pushed to her limits by the demanding real estate agent who was trying to sell her friend’s house next door. This realtor was so entitled that the woman finally had to stop being so helpful and lay down the law.

In general, most people get along with the folks next door, and a Pew Research study finds that 59% of Americans would feel comfortable keeping a set of their home keys with their neighbors. This suggests a strong level of trust among people in the same area, as 76% of U.S. people would also bring in the mail or water plants for folks going out of town.
In general, people living side by side also tend to enjoy each other’s company, and research has found that 17% of Americans actually seek out the companionship of their neighbors. More than half of the survey respondents would also be comfortable offering help and support to the folks next door.
So people seem to like building strong, respectful relationships with their neighbors, which is why, when they’re selling their home, it’s important to be sensitive to the needs of the folks living nearby. Even if someone is extremely sensitive to the needs of the folks next door, their real estate agent should also be on the same page. According to experts, some realtors develop a highly inflated ego, which can negatively affect how they treat clients and possibly damage relationships with neighbors.
Estate agents are expected to serve as a middleman between home buyers and sellers to make property deals go smoothly. That’s why LabCoat Agents advise realtors not to overstep any boundaries and to respect their client’s needs and decisions in the end.
In some cases, real estate brokers might play power games with the seller, which Ramsey Solutions urges people to watch for. The moment a realtor engages in unprofessional behavior such as being impatient, forcing their viewpoints on you, coming up with excessive demands, or acting rudely, it might be time to end the contract with them.
A good real estate agent should put effort into preparing for an open house. Rather than relying on others, professionals say brokers should arrive early on the day of the showing, clean the place, make the rooms presentable, and set out refreshments.
In this case, though, it seems like the realtor just relied on the homeowner’s kind neighbor to prepare the open house. Unfortunately, her entitlement created a huge conflict and left the pregnant poster incredibly frustrated.
