I think you’ll find that most of the world (with the exceptions of the Americans) would rather eat Italian food than American food. Italy is famed for it’s excellent food - American is famed for oversized portions of cheap flavourless food.

I think they'd be confused by American numbers rather than the Hindu-Arabic numbers I use. A shame posting links and pictures doesn't work properly any more, but try doing a search for "Mayan Numerals". They're the only American numbers I know about off the top of my head.
