It’s safe to say that pets bring joy to an otherwise boring household. So, when they become more emotional and show a bit of attitude for whatever reason, their owners tend to give them a pass.
Some may even snap a photo of said moment, which, when perfectly captured, could come off as an Academy Award-winning performance. In case you’re scratching your head after reading that, here are some photos to show you what we mean.
As always, enjoy the warm fuzzies from our collection of animal photos.

I Haven't Found What They Broke Yet
They Were Both Sleeping 3 Minutes Ago
I am trying to think of something dramatic, but I can't stop laughing.
We Forgot To Tell Our Cat That We Had A Baby
Animals like dogs and cats do not express emotions in exactly the same way humans do. This is why we may easily misconstrue their actions. One example is when they did something bad, like ruin furniture.
According to Dr. Karen Hiestand, a lecturer at the Royal Veterinary College at the University of London, the idea that animals feel guilt is “widespread but incorrect.”

“When you get home, and they’ve ripped up a cushion, what you’re seeing isn’t guilt – it’s fear. They are picking up that you are angry or upset,” Dr. Hiestand told The Guardian.

Summoning Demons
Still on the topic of peculiar behaviors, cats have a reputation for being standoffish, unlike dogs, which are often perceived to be warmer and more social. Dr. Hiestand addressed this, stating that dogs are group-living animals that co-evolved with humans for at least 40,000 years.
Cats, meanwhile, come from a “completely solitary” ancestor and have not lived alongside humans as long.

I Guess He Likes Drama
I had to peel one of my cats off the screen door to the deck today. She's the reason we can't have nice things!
However, there are certain behaviors that pet owners must take note of. According to Texas-based veterinary service True Animal Vet, these actions may indicate an underlying health condition that requires attention.

Asked Wife How The Visit To The Vet Was Going
I use a mobile vet who comes to my house. It's the best thing ever! Wish I'd found them years ago.
Recently Put Our Cat On A Diet. We Set Him Up With An Automatic Feeder... He's Not A Fan
Ours has it under the lid, but he has realised he can get a bit of food by sticking his paw up the place the food comes out of. But that just means his next portion is smaller.
Load More Replies...So the vet said I had to put my dog on a diet. Suggested I give him a carrot instead of a treat. Now Xander loved carrots so I thought this would work. I had 4 dogs lined up for their morning treat and the other dogs got the regular treat and I tried to give Xander a carrot. I swear, he looked at the carrot, looked at the treats the other dogs were eating, looked back at the carrot and then gave me a look of such utter betrayal. Apparently it wasn’t about whether he liked carrots or not, it was the principle of the thing.
I briefly considered the cat communication panel, where they can be trained to push buttons to indicate their wants. Then the other 98% of my brain kicked in and said, "What are you, goofy?"
It's just rude to have the whole bag there. My cats would have already opened it.
Forcing diet changes and weightloss on a fur baby is soooooo much harder than forcing it on myself or another human being. And that says a whole lot! Those eyes... The ones that God put on my Olde English Bulldogge. It isn't fair.
Cats, for one, are “experts at masking pain.” This means that any subtle changes, like reduced appetite, litter box issues, or decreased interaction, may be early warning signs of health problems.
Meanwhile, a dog dealing with an illness may show changes in energy levels, sudden aggression, or anxiety. Possible illnesses include arthritis, dental diseases, or hormonal imbalances.

My Mum Washed All The Dogs Toys. And Now He Won't Come In The House Without Them
My kid used to stand in front of the washer/dryer any time I washed his "lovey" as a toddler. We ended up buying a 2nd identical one so he didn't have to worry about the original one drowning. 😁

At least you made it home. My fur baby likes to do this when we are still a distance away. And there is no way I can move a 90-pound lump in any practical way. I'm convinced that she does it just to extend our outside togetherness away from her sister.

I've said it before: I sincerely hope this is photoshopped. Any ferret caught in a tube like that is in very real danger of quickly suffocating. DON'T GIVE ferrets small tubes to play with unless they are cut clean through so they can't get stuck. I hate this photo with a passion >.<
