There are so many dog breeds, it's incredibly easy to mistake one pooch for another. Luckily, St. Louis-based artist Grace Gogarty (a.k.a. Little Tunny) has created a comprehensive comic series that will help you identify most of the dog types.

"I've been drawing comics since I was a kid," Grace told Bored Panda. "I absolutely love animals, so that's usually my focus! I worked as a supervisor at a doggy daycare for years and got to meet lots of dogs. The cartoon dogs featured in this guide are the breeds I met the most of."

The artist has divided the series into three parts - big, medium, and small dog breeds, so no k9s are left behind. Great Danes? Check. Border Collies, Yorkshire Terriers? Yep. Pugs, Golden Retrievers, and German Shepherds? Yup. "Sadly, I haven't met every dog in the word yet so that I couldn't write about them all," Grace said. "Although I stereotype them, all dogs are wonderful individuals, so I couldn't possibly pick a favorite breed!"

Among the animals Gogarty owns, there's one pooch as well. "His Name is Huey, and he is an enigma. We have no idea what kind of breeds he's comprised of!" Scroll down to meet the dog memes, and remember - even if some traits sound better than others, every dog deserves a to be a pet. Even if it pees all over your new rug.

I always feel sorry for huskies who are adopted by lazy people. They should get a lazy dog or a goldfish.

I also feel bad when they're adopted/bought and brought into climates that really don't suit them either. They're made for snow.

As an owner of 2 huskys and active in husky rescue......waaay too many people want this breed because of their beauty and wolf-like looks. They get a husky and don't excercise it - thus the couch, carpet and walls are eaten, landscape is ruinned because of digging, craters are dug under the fence and/or 6 and 7 foot fences are scaled so the dog can do what it were bred for....running. Huskys have a high prey drive so often aren't good with cats, chickens, small dogs and small children. Huskys are difficult to train due to their high intiellect and stubborness - thik behaviorally disordered child. Huskys blow their coats for months and there is a massive amount of fur on everything...no matter how often you brush them. Shelters in Texas, Florida, and southern California are overflowing with this breed and many are killed in these shelters every day because of lazy, uninformed or humans who think they'll be

My brother has a husky and he definitely doesn’t exercise her enough. She’s always escaping and will kill any small creature she can find - opossums, snakes, squirrels, etc. She’s older though, and is finally settling down. Poor girl.

I'm dying here, because the husky I had growing up quite literally ate a couch. Seriously, just springs and some wood left.

Three couch, one wingback chair, one accent chair, carpets of the entire house, one highly prized collector Barbie , at least 20 pairs of shoes ( Some very expensive), two window screens, one cabinet door, several homeworks just to begin with....no big deal, just another day in a husky's life.

Don't bother commenting about lack of exercise... she lives on a farm and runs around with other animals and her father all day and swims everyday. But a husky's gotta do what a husky's gotta do.

Heavily coated dogs = cold climates. It's just cruel to expect your beautiful Husky/Malamute/Samoyed to be happy anywhere id doesn't snow at least SOMETIME!

Love, Love ,Love my husky! She's my walking buddy and we do 5 to 8 miles everyday! I Walk her early in the morning I the summer to avoid the heat but she pushes me hard in the winter on our walks because she wants to run through the snow! You also ah e to be prepared for the shedding!! When they are blowing their coat, It's like getting a whole other dog when you brush them out.

I wonder if there is room in your brains to understand; that while I am only on Husky #2 (in Missouri no less) that she literally goes everywhere with me and is the bff most people can’t live up to. We don’t run 5k’s but we play and I have a nice big yard. Life with a dog is about interaction and companionship, that’s why you get a doge. People outside of your stereotypes and hateful words, find your comments ridiculous, and I’m one of them. I have spent over 60 hrs training, Luca (and her predecessor, Cinder), not once did they eat the couch, or anything else when I left them at home alone. Surely you all can’t be so narrow minded to think that a human or ANY dog will not adapt to anything they put their minds to. She is loved like a child and treated as if a grandchild by my parents. She doesn’t get boarded when I go out of town, she goes to their house or my brothers. It’s a responsible owner thing, and that’s what you should be preaching, instead of judgment.

So happy we lived so close to the edge of the city limits. Four blocks, then my wife would hang out the window with the long lead so Arlo could get a real good run in a couple times a week. Rain or shine. Winter or summer. The rest of the time he a I would go biking. Had this arm attachment on the bike to hook a short leash to, worked great. Miss that boy.

I have 5, yes 5 huskies. all are adopted, live in the house or air conditioned garage. And yes they are a hand -full(like having five five-year-olds running around. But I wouldnt trade them for the world. And contrary to popular belief, huskies can take the heat. I live in Texas, and mine cant wait to get outside, or to the bark-park. Walks with that many is a chore. Only take two at a time, but they all get a turn. You cant have just one.LOL

I could not agree more with most of the sentiments expressed here and I have steered my folks away from Huskies as a breed. However, there REALLY IS that rare couch potato of a husky that would rather snuggle, cuddle, and nap in spite of ALL your pleas to go out side & run & play. I have one. She is a little TOO content (even for me) just lay on the sofa and stay warm! Mar282015_...b176d6.jpg Mar282015_1713-5acbaebb176d6.jpg

We have a husky. A very noise sensitive husky, who doesn't like to go for walks outside where there are cars nearby, or horns, or big trucks, or sirens. We have a nice backyard that she loves to play in, but the moment a loud siren can be heard.....she runs for the gate and wants to go back inside. It's just who she is. She is a very timid dog who doesn't really go up to people to be petted......she takes her time observing you first, then will approach you. Once she does come to you, she'll be your best friend. You cannot judge a dog, or make assumptions.....every dog has their own personality regardless of breed. She has never chewed any furniture, she doesn't take food off the coffee table if left there....she is very well behaved. She does love a good nap though! LOL

Very astute & focused summary of Sibe-wise traits. I could have added one further trait: "I MUST be with you every wakened second of the day; if I am not, I'll eat the very latest book you just acquired as your penalty!" There are more (acquired through 40 year of life with these lovely furry canine wolf-clones, but the gist of it is here (in Grace's cartoon), LoL!

We have two Huskies and constantly walk them. They are amazing dogs, but as others said, need a TON of walking. Please, please, please choose another dog if you don't plan on taking them out multiple times a day. Also, they shed, so buy stock in lint brushes!

2 weeks ago we took in our fifth arctic rescue (first malamute, previous 4 have been huskies). Arctics are unbelievably cute and adorable as puppies, they're just little pudgy balls of fluff (our first husky, who we bought as a pup, was once literally mistaken for thistledown blowing on the breeze). Lot's of people get them as puppies because they're so cute. Then they grow up, and they are working dogs. Huskies especially. You either take a husky for a 5 km run every day or they will eat the house, then escape, and cause havoc in the neighbourhood. No third option. They're also very headstrong, they take commands and orders more as optional recommendations, and will constantly try to bend or break the rules. They are great dogs, IF you're willing to put the work in to look after them and train them. Sadly, plenty of people aren't.

We walk our husky three times a day. Several miles. Huskies are very smart so they also need mental 'puzzles' to do. This is a breed that also needs another dog. Never seen another breed crave other dogs like a husky. Definitely a high maintenance dog. Not a lazy lapdog!

People make this mistake all the time. They get a huskie for it's looks but don't realize these fuzzy babies need tons of exercise! I had a friend who kept one chained to a tree 24/7 and couldn't understand why She (the dog) kept breaking lose and running off. D'uh! I felt so bad for that dog.

Labs are great! They are smart, and loyal,....if you can keep them at home. They're Big-Time roamers. Unfortunately, they don't do all that well in the house. My black Lab, 'Captain Black' had a lethal tail, which was always sweeping back and forth. Unfortunately, he could clear a coffee table in a matter of just a few seconds. The Captain was the main reason why I happily switched from red wine to white wine. Oh, and the Captain sure could fart up a storm too. :D

The Yorkshire terrier will also show its affection by nipping your ankles. They have teeth sharp enough to draw blood at every nip. (Don't tell me that I should break them of that habit, please -- they're not my dogs but a friend's.)

Still miss ours. He was awesome. Never really had to train him and he listened perfectly. Would just walk near you and come when called. Kinda obsessed about bananas and would do anything for 1. (Stole a whole bunch of the table once... Silly dog) He hated water so when it was bath time, I would just get in the shower with him and close the door. He loved getting brushed and groomed though.

The border collie needs to have work to do or it will be neurotic. If you don't have time to spend training your dog, get something less intelligent. Sometimes a border collie will herd your kids to keep them from getting separated from you.

In my seventy plus years, I have always been a dog lover/owner. Big dogs, medium dogs, and small ones. But when I got my first shih-tzu I've never looked back since. They're very energetic, love kids, easy to hold, and the most expensive part to them is the grooming every 6-7 weeks. They don't eat a lot, and best of all, they don't leave big piles that need cleaning up. Oh, and they look like hairy little children, in need of affection. I love my CharlieK. Period!
