Load More Replies...I read that giraffes are going onto the endangered species list. Too bad it had to come to that.
Load More Replies...What does that expression mean exactly?
Load More Replies...I would have thought the painting was an exaggeration if I hadn’t seen the proof! Adorable. 🧡
Ever wondered why looking at pet photos makes you feel good all of a sudden? Research has shown that doing so improves your well-being.
To test this, University of Maryland professor Dr. Jennifer Golbeck had 1,880 participants take the Patient Evaluation of Emotional Comfort Experienced (PEECE) survey. It’s a 12-item questionnaire that measures a person’s well-being.
Each statement begins with “I feel,” followed by certain aspects that determine a person’s mood, whether it’s relaxed, in control, energized or informed. Participants then rate each feeling on a scale of 1 to 5 (lowest to highest).
Antarctic fur seals routinely come in that color, although it is more common for them to be dark. The background looks like a subantarctic island, so that fits. This photo is of a younger pup. The pups (and the adults for that matter) are extremely curious and will walk over to tourists and photographers, although of course people are not allowed to pet them.
I can't even imagine how wonderful this would feel to pick up. Nature is happy that I live where it is not this cold and therefore is protecting all its little animals from people like me who feel the ridiculous need to pick up tiny wild creatures such as this.
Genuinely hope you wouldn't actually do that, though. It's a tad worrisome that this person even got close enough to take this shot. Stay away, folks. Think of the animals, not yourselves.
Load More Replies...The universe knew that it had to compact the cuteness into a smaller package or else it would cause chaos. The extra floof is all the cute trying to escape.
Load More Replies...I'm immediately concerned when I see a photo of a baby with no adults around. Is everyone out fishing?
As a cat owner I can’t stop laughing at your comment!!!
Load More Replies...This is a cat who is “earning their Friskies” as I jokingly call it. What it really is just happens to be the bond between animals, especially companion animals, and humans. If the man is the catdad, then the cat knows he loves them like they love him, and he takes good care of them so it’s only fitting they should be moved to care for him when he needs it too. We are the center of their little universes. And when we’re sad, they’re sad too. We really don’t deserve animals.
Okay, time's up. Now it's my turn to discuss the day I had on an empty stomach.
I had a dog once who would cry whenever I did. I was a kid then, so I cried out loud.
I love the top picture, dog on the left side, like he’s saying “what the hell dad?!?”
Load More Replies...Dr. Golbeck then divided the participants into two groups. One spent five minutes looking at adorable dog pictures. The other group spent the same amount of time reading tweets from US President Donald Trump.
As Dr. Golbeck revealed in an article for Psychology Today, those who read Trump’s tweets showed a decline in their well-being score, from 3.27 before reading to 2.08 after. Conversely, those who looked at dog photos felt an improvement from 3.27 to 3.81.

Load More Replies...Look up what this breed used to look like; breeders have done this breed a grave disservice and should be punished for what they've done.
Sure, they look all cute and friendly now, but in a minute they're going to get puffy and spiky and things are going to get ugly...and painful.
Unless you're a dolphin, in which case they're drügs.
Load More Replies...Some venomous creatures come in brilliant colors and some have delightful smiles.
Then don't hurt them, threaten them.....hmmm....kinda like humans....
Load More Replies...Have you heard about your lord and savior not eating us?
Load More Replies...But what exactly is it about photos of adorable animals that make us feel better? As science journalist Dana Smith, PhD, points out in an article for Medium, it activates both the emotion and reward circuits. This is especially true if you’re looking at photos of your own pets.
"I am so tired of babysitting my mother's granddaughter."
Load More Replies...She looks like she's already fed up with this parent role thingy she's obliged to continue.
The poor kitten! It has it's eyes open so it's over a week old, but it's so small with skinny legs.
I legit thought for a second that it was one of these "I brushed my dog and made a dog-shaped rug out of it" posts...Borzois are SO skinny!!!
Came here to say this. Somebody else had the same book as a kid. :D
Load More Replies...And the golden is extra thick. I don't mean fat, but he's got the blocky head of a rottweiler.
Yes! And they really do look like that laid down
Load More Replies...Smith also mentioned a link between the human brain’s response to cute animals and evolution and procreation. In her article, she alluded to a study suggesting that younglings, in particular, trigger the baby schema.
Since kittens and puppies have large eyes and small bodies that represent an infant human, we innately want to approach, care for, and protect them.
“Those traits are naturally rewarding to people,” she wrote.
Is that just a filter on the capybera to look like they have a bow or is that one just intentionally meant to look cartoonish? Also, very cute!
I think it's a filter on both, but not 100% sure on the cat
Load More Replies...This gives me a whole new perspective on all those odd looking medieval paintings of animals

Jungle Book alternate ending: Baloo and Shere Khan eat Mowgli and end up BFFs.
Just outside of the pic. Seriously. They're a famous trio of animals collectively known as BLT, rescued from a d**g dealer's menagerie. Their names are Baloo, Leo, and Shere Khan.
Load More Replies...The tiger is like, "yep, I am friends with a bear. I am that badass." And the bear is like, "look at my kitty!"
This is literally Baloo and Shere Khan (Leo the Lion is not pictured here), from Noah's Ark Animal Shelter in Georgia. Leo the Lion was also part of the trio and he died in 2016. Shere Khan died in 2018. I got to see all three before their passing. They were taken from d**g dealers in 2001. They were cubs being raised together. When they got to Noah's Ark, they were separated because they were "natural predators" to each other and the shelter thought they would kill each other as they grew. Well, that caused further trauma on the 3 on top of all the physical and health trauma they had already been through so they were put back together and lived their remaining years that way. They could never be released back into the wild because of the trauma they suffered while being with the d**g dealers. Yes, they were all best friends with each other. Seeing them was amazing.
"Calgon, take me away!" Wonder how many are old enough to remember that slogan.
After six weeks of the same ol' same ol', most would want something different. Trouble might be getting the pups to go back to the same ol' same ol'.
Load More Replies...Okay, you watch the kids while I take the afternoon off...after they're fed, of course. Then we'll switch.
Once long ago we had a black cat and a white cat that had kittens about the same time. They often fed each others kittens. The mothers were spayed afterwards.
You were wondering where all that catnip was coming from?
Load More Replies...I hope the Whiskas company is paying this little guy money for using his image so blatantly.
Most tabbies do. In Islamic legend, it was put there by the prophet Muhammed himself!
Load More Replies...Hi! I'm Bob McKatt. You probably know me from the Whiskas commercials.
Another capy fren?! Are these all pets? I love them immensely but I'm a bit concerned because they really shouldn't be pets.
If a capy can be buds with a crocodile, can't they handle being pets? If you have the room and proper environment, of course
Load More Replies...I don't know, looks more like true happiness to me.
Load More Replies...My brother had the sweetest Rottie ever. His name was Bobby and he was such a love. We always said he was the Goodwill Ambassador for the breed. People were always surprised at how friendly he was. (Training). Unfortunately, he developed Diabetes and went blind. My brother was spending $$$ a month just to keep him going & I finally said, "Sweetheart, it's time to let him go". A very sad day, indeed. I really loved that dog.
My dog got licked by a very enthusiastic pup. It broke him for a while 😂
Load More Replies...Orange cats rarely care - that's why we love them.
Load More Replies...The baby ain't so sure about that weird oversized guinea pig, huh? 🤣
Well, it looks like the cake and party are for the capybara, so I'm thinking that the kid might be a little jelly?? lol
As a parent of a wiener dog and know how they are always “there” why not put them to work.
And here's the toolbox model. He comes with a set of tool waiting to be used.
This is a lot of weight to put on their backs when they're notorious for having bad backs and hips. Look up IVDD. Poor pup.
Those are some big shoes to fill, if I want to be like mom and dad.
That cat looks ready to murder the person who made him pose for a social media post.
I filled our slug traps with dark beer. The snails drank the beer, got drunk, and drowned in it. Happy me and happy plants.
Maybe you could leave them alone instead. Happy snails.
Load More Replies..."I can't do the full proper song! The chorus requires several non-feline death screams. Hooman! Stand over there. Take your jacket off. Maybe I can make this work."
Load More Replies...And now we know the reason the chicken crossed the road...to kick that noisy damn dog's a*s.
I cannot think of a single comment that BP wouldn't censor. And for once, I don't blame them.
Hahaha! Whenever my husband does something annoying and tries to explain, I just say, under my breath, "Eat my a*s". He puts his hand over his mouth and yells, "I can't breathe". And this is why we've been married for so long.
We used to let our rat, Yoshi, out of it's cage at home. It won the cats allegiance by chewing on it's flea scabs(this was before the good flea meds) and ended up riding the cat around the house. Good times folks, good times. I miss that sweet little guy sniff sniff
Me too! But watch out for the ones mostly white with grey tabby patches. Too smart for their own good and get nassty from frustration.
Load More Replies...that Tom and Jerry episode where tom is teaching the younger cat about hating mice.
It's um, well, when, um. JUST LET ME PET THE KITTY ALREADY
Load More Replies...Ever see a chicken keep its head locked to a particular point in space when you move its body around? Turns out cats are even better at it.
This is how I imagine my cats at 3am, summoning my sleeping body to arise with food and treats.
Hey! Human !! We're going to need a lightning charge cord, I can't be sitting here for 2 hours !!!
Your void is finished charging as can be seen by the twin yellow lights.
I told you I didn’t want to help you practice French kissing today, because you ALWAYS get it wrong! (PS-I too have dated way too many men who think this is the way to kiss. I am here to tell all of you it surely is NOT. Close your damned mouth, ffs, and quit trying to g to swallow my entire head!)
If you get alot of bugs in your house spiders, etc. Get a lizard and let it loose at night(of course it has to be the kind that eats all the bugs).
I think it's a Damascus goat. They're cute as kids, but oh my lord do they grow out of it!
Load More Replies...cat babies: you ate my fooooooods!!!!! mom cat: OH MY GOSH! PLS STOP SO I CAN DO MY MAKE UP!
Maybe he dominates bowl, and bowl loves it! (O.K., checking myself into clinic soon).
We feed our 3 cats a little wet food treat every morning, however, the older one (2yrs) finishes and then sticks her paw into the bowl of one of the littles (9mos) bowl and pulls it to herself....she must think they don't really want this stuff, do they?? Here lemme help....
Gobbler gets the chance to sit and stare at comrades until they give up their bowl and run?
See, I don’t get this one. I have two cats, and every damned time I go to the bathroom, they are both right there with me—-uninvited, btw. They just meow loudly and scratch at the door until I give up and let them in. Then, of course, they want to go right back out again. You get the picture. So the shelter or clinic here really doesn’t have much to worry about. Those cats will lose their desire to escape and find their way back to the bathroom with the human anyway.
That's what happens when you let your cat and your snake get too friendly
I have one exactly like that on my lap right now. Can't tell if it's a liquid or a solid.
not sure about the new actors for the Rohirim in the lord of the rings remake
day 33 i have successfully infiltrated the flock i am closer to discovering their master plan
The one in the white hardhat says you are not authorized to be in on this meeting.
""This is all they had in my size." Really? Is that what you're telling me? Do you expect me to believe that?"
That took me a second. I was thinking what did they dip the dog in?
I thought so too but it could just be the angle. I hope it's just the angle; I hate when people let their pets get obese.
Load More Replies...Don’t you go talking about her baby like that! They take after their father.
Load More Replies...I always wonder if any of them ever successfully use the straw. Do any of them ever inhale and pull some liquid up the straw, or are they only chewing on it and not getting anything to drink?
Load More Replies...Sorry, but obesity like this is absolutely not funny and should not be on this list. This should be considered animal cruelty.
I agree, and downvoted the post because this is so wrong.
Load More Replies...I was having a bad day but then I got a message and looked at these and they made my day better!
