So, you realize that this is an argument AGAINST more gun control, right? We already have a law that bans people convicted of domestic violence from owning a gun. So now we can rest easy, knowing that no spousal abuser can ever commit a gun crime. Right? If there is a law against it, it can't happen, right? Just like if we banned law abiding citizens from owning guns, shootings like this couldn't happen. They ought to try some gun control laws in California, so they don't have any shootings there. The point was whether the media is promoting one side by trying to use this teen as emotional leverage to persuade people to bypass their logic and side with gun control. You will notice that there are never long media campaigns highlighting the thankfulness of those who have been protected by a legally owned firearm (it happens much more than you are allowed to think by your masters in the media). Nobody said anything about not allowing teens to have opinions.
