Guy Notices That Someone Hit And Run His Car, Finds A Hilarious Note From A 6th Grader
If you have a car it’s likely that you have been the victim or offender of a hit-and-run. Whether it’s just a scratch or heavy damage, it’s just common courtesy to leave a note when these situations arise, however, not everyone is so polite. Beyond poor manners, it can be extremely costly to repair your vehicle without the other person’s insurance provider.

The note reads: “If your wondering what happen to your car. Bus: 449 hit your car. It stops here everyday to drop me off. At 5:00pm. What Happened? She was trying to pull off and hit the car. She hit and run. She tried to vear over and squeeze threw but couldn’t. She actually squeezed threw. She made a dent and I saw what happened. Sorry. Driver seat left door. A lady in the bus driver seat 999.

A BIG shout out to the parents for raising a child who not only knows right from wrong, but also acts on it. "CHARACTER - is defined by what we do when no one else is looking". That kid has character in excess!

His parents truly did a good job, but let's not discredit the kid's good deed just because he's a kid. Kids are so underestimated by the adult world.

Last sunday my brother hit a parked car whilst riding his bicycle. He's diagnosed in the autism-spectrum but still had the capabilty to write the owner a note, saying he hit the front left side (how it happened, who knows, because he's always kind of dreamy) and his phone number. The owner called later on sunday admiring his honesty and they filled in the insurancepapers together that evening. My brother does have insurance, that's why it's so important to have one. Both he and the owner of the car don't have to worry about damage which can't be paid. I'm frickin' proud of my little brother.

I saw a guy pull into a parking space and smack into the car in front of him. He then proceeds to get out of the car with his family and goes in, not even stopping to see if he caused damage. So I get his license plate and the plate of the car he hit. I walked inside the store and had the owner of the vehicle that was hit paged. By the time he arrived at the counter, the clerk had called the police and they met us in the parking lot. Shortly after viewing the situation, the police officer had the guy that hit the car paged. He comes out..all angry at the cops. And when he sees me talking to the cops, he comes up and starts yelling at me that it was none of my business. I said "You made it my business when you walked away." He got a ticket for hit and run, driving without insurance and driving on suspended license. If he had gone into the store and had the guy paged to tell him about the accident, he probably would have avoided a few thousand dollars in fines.

On a sadder note, I also saw a woman back into a truck so hard that she dented the fender and shifted the tailgate to where it wouldn't open. She never paused, put her car in gear, and drove off..but not before I got her plate. I called the cops and had the owner of the truck paged. One officer met us at the store, another met her car at her address they had on file with the DMV. She was in her 80's, wasn't even aware that she hit anything. The officer said it was obvious from talking to her that she was having memory issues. Her driver license was revoked. Kinda wish it hadn't turned out that way, but I can't help but think things could have been worse if she's kept driving.

I once was asleep at 4am and heard the typical sound of a car crash in the parking lot under my apartment. I went and had a look because my car was also parked there and saw that 4 guys had crashed against my neighbor's (and colleague and friend) car. they left without leaving a note but before leaving they stayed there talking for 10 minutes because they probably thought nobody was looking so I had plenty of time to take note of the plate and car model

What a fantastically responsible child! It was probably just bad driving in this case but if the bus driver does have to squeeze through small spaces left on a bus route regularly maybe the district's authorities should restrict the parking? I'm not blaming this driver but it used to happen a lot where I live - buses couldn't get through and they had to sit and wait for the cars to be moved. Parking restrictions along these routes now. Owners of the cars might not be happy having to find somewhere else to park but at least they aren't getting their car damaged or removed.

Once my son was dropped off in a whole different town with some other kids. Thank Heavens their mom called the police and reported that she got an extra child dropped off and the police worked with the school to figure out where my nonverbal child belonged.

When my youngest child started school (his first day of school) he didn't come home on the bus. We were frantic. Where was he? It seems that the bus driver didn't check the bus at the end of her shift. She just put the bus away. My son had fallen asleep in the back of the bus. We were so mad.

We had that happen in our town too. A little boy went missing. Found asleep on the bus. The driver was reprimanded because school policy dictated that the buses MUST be checked at the end of every shift.

My coworker and I did something similar many years ago. Our offices were on a third story Victorian townhouse on a hill, and we heard a crash and raced to the window. We saw a company-owned vehicle run into a parked car and knew he was going to flee. She yelled the license plate number at me and the company name so we got it down on paper, then left a note on the victim's windshield.

First, what a great and responsible child she is. Second, I had a Toyota RAV4 that was hit several times while it was parked. In each instance the person left me a note with their CORRECT information, and made good on the damage. This wasn't in some small town in the heartland, it was in the middle of Los Angeles. Pretty great. In one case, the repair was less than the money the woman gave me, so I returned the difference.

Yes! Someone I didn't know in an exercise class I took got the number of the truck that did the very same thing that bus did. Ripped off my outside mirror and scraped the entire driver's side of the car. I was SO grateful.

In Switzerland it is required by law that every driver when he hit the 70 has to be checked by a officially assigned Doctor. Even if you never had an accident in the driver history. The 150- SFR (equals dollars) you have to pay cash by yourself! It's not mandatory in EU! But nobody is testing your ability to work until 67..... and its no guarantee that the old folks drives better, they just sneak on the left lane blocking the traffic BORN TO BE WILD!

Why is that almost every one just assumed it was a boy? The perfect detailed narrative is tipycally feminine. Also, that beautiful handwriting is very rare amongst boys. 😉

People saying the handwriting is too neat for a 6th grader, yet I've met plenty of kids with handwriting better than most adults these days. My 8 yr old is a great little artist, and has handwriting better than her teenage sister. Just because you don't know anyone of that age who could write so well, does not mean they don't exist, kind of ignorant to suggest otherwise.

A sixth grader (an 11 year old) who can't spell "you're" and "through" and draws buses like a 5 year old. Good to see the image of the "Dumb American" is safe for the next generation. LOL
