Being in love with someone is much more than holding hands, going places together, or posting cute photos of each other on Instagram. Being truly in love means worrying when your loved one takes time to get home, sitting close and listening about your partner's worries when he/or she has a hard day, taking care of your loved one when he/or she gets ill and much more than that. It's simply loving your partner unconditionally and always being there without expecting anything in return.
When we are in a relationship, especially at the beginning of it, it seems that nothing in the world is more important than that person and we could do anything just to make him/her happy. Over time, this feeling may fade a bit but true love will remain. And that's exactly what illustrator Luong Thuy shows in her beautiful drawings. “My inspiration lies in everyday life with my boyfriend. The stories I illustrate are also stories about myself” - said the artist to Bored Panda when asked how she was inspired to create these drawing ideas.

I’ve never seen a “artist draws illustrations depicting living with SO” on this site before. It’s so refreshing
Luong Thuy, or beisme08 on Instagram, uses her cute drawings to depict her daily life and adorable moments with her boyfriend that make people smile at what a cute couple they are. "These love drawings recreate my everyday moments with my boyfriend. I always try to draw with the simplest content so that anyone who looks at it can easily understand the story"- said the artist about the creative idea behind her illustrations. I've done this, but I married Oscar the grouch, he was not amused. I was.
The artist says that she started drawing her illustrations about 6 months ago and what’s really impressive is that she already has more than 50k followers on her Instagram account who really enjoy her illustrations. It usually takes her 2-3 days or more to complete one illustration since she has to somehow manage to do classwork and also work at a company.

Luong Thuy enjoys drawing girls who are true to themselves and show their real emotions even when they are sad. She is not afraid to draw body curves that some artists might avoid and girls with colorful hair. When asked about her drawing style, the artist said: “I have tried to draw a lot of styles before. But later, I liked the simpler styles more. I always try to draw so that anyone looking at me can understand the content I want to convey.”

I adore this! The artist's name indicates she is either Laotian, Vietnamese, or Thai, and her illustrations show off the hugely respectful and mindful views of any of those cultures. This isn't "toxic". It shows that her bf respects her enough to not boost his ego at the expense of her body. Being skimpily dressed in public will mark her as someone not quite worthy of respect, but will draw envious stares and kudos to the bf for having arm candy. He's already seen her naked, and knows that while she is dressing for him, he wants her true beauty to shine through. We Westerners usually see that as shallow, toxic masculinity. In that culture, his endorsing "regular" clothes shows his valuing her deeply. It's a beautiful thing!

I got to know of this site today and I activated my account because of this comment of yours. People should let others be. Culture and religion influences peoples taste in dress. There are dress styles my gf won’t like me to go out with and she will show her displeasure politely and this is same for me. I find amusing when some ladies wear skimpy clothing out in the public and are uncomfortable, you see them pulling and adjusting their skirts or using their hands to cover their thighs and cleavage . The responses on this post, here and on Facebook, are so incredibly negative that I'm in awe. I've never been one to leave comments on posts without tagging anyone but it's just so sad to see these comics being judged as they are. These panels are beautifully illustrated and I genuinely enjoyed them; I personally was surprised at how spot on some of them were in capturing my own relationship (the happiest and healthiest one I've ever been in, no contest).

I found this very relatable as a broken and insecure woman. I thought it was very sweet and reflects a lot of what I go through too, and I'm glad I'm not alone. It's great to see she's got herself a very patient and understanding man in her life. That's what everyone should strive for.
