A very talented live wedding painter (her name eludes me but she's popular on TikTok) charges somewhere around $4000 for a painting. And that makes perfect sense given the immense amount of work it takes to pull that off and make it look GOOD. $1000 is indeed absolutely nothing.

But my question is, why are you allowing the venue to open and serve a wedding in the first damn place in the middle of a pandemic? That is what is bûļļșħíț. Weddings don't have to be expensive. We spent a couple of thousand at most for a wedding with maybe 25 people. The biggest expense was catering because if people were going to make the effort to come, they deserved a really good meal. Dress code for bridesmaids (our nieces) and groomspeople (nephew and (female) friend): wear something. Everyone had fun and we're still married over a decade later.

what in gods name has become of weddings these days? my wife and i had our wedding in 89, simple affair. one day batchelor party and batchlorette party. now? the wedding parties are now "things" for the brides to try and play with for "aesthetics". parties are now multi day events in exotic locations that cost thousands! what happened to love and the joining of two people?

Because I want him to be happy. And I would NEVER try to upstage his bride, on their special day. That's THEIR day. I already had mine, 20 years ago, when I married his Dad.
