Alan Ritchson is a prominent actor, director, and former model, best known for his physically commanding lead role as Jack Reacher in the Amazon Prime Video action series Reacher.
TMZ first broke the news of the fight on March 22, reporting that the incident unfolded in front of two of the actor’s three young sons.
A video of the brawl showed Ritchson’s neighbor, Ronnie Taylor, kneeling on the ground as the actor appeared to strike him multiple times during the confrontation.

Reportedly, the altercation was triggered by Taylor’s complaints about Ritchson riding his green Kawasaki motorcycle at excessive speeds through their quiet neighborhood.
The footage also showed Taylor initially approaching Ritchson aggressively and pushing him off his motorcycle twice, prompting the actor to react physically.
Authorities reviewed the video evidence and witness statements, concluding within days of the incident that Taylor had “initiated and instigated” the fight, while Ritchson acted in self-defense.

No charges were filed against the 43-year-old actor, but critics remained unconvinced despite him being cleared.
Many skeptics accused him of misusing his public persona, with one person writing, “Man. Shame on you. True masculinity defends the weak and serves those around us. Not what you do. I stand against bullies. Come on over. You are welcome to try and bully me.”

As condemnation and suspicion surrounding Ritchson’s actions continued to grow following the conclusion of the investigation, new details have now emerged.
On Wednesday, April 1, the Daily Mail obtained the official police report, offering a fresh perspective on the altercation.
Officers noted in the filing that they detected the smell of al**hol on the neighbor during follow-up questioning.
The report stated, “I must note that, while speaking with Mr. Taylor, I observed a strong odor of an al**holic beverage emanating from his person.”

Describing Ronnie’s injuries, the report further read, “I also observed a large, bleeding, red, inflamed bump on the left side of his head above his eyebrow… Mr. Taylor’s nose and the left side of his jaw and chin were also red and inflamed, which are injuries consistent with being punched in the face.”
“Mr. Taylor also had an abrasion on the inside of his left arm in the forearm area.”
According to the report, Taylor approached Alan and asked him to stop riding his motorcycle, stating that “kids were playing” nearby.

“Mr. Ritchson turned around again, pushed him to the ground, and started punching him while he was on the ground. After this, Mr. Taylor said Mr. Ritchson had left. This is when Mr. Taylor called the police,” the report stated.
The filing further noted that, upon reviewing the video evidence, Taylor’s account of the incident appeared consistent, as the footage showed, “Alan Ritchson [is] punching Mr. Taylor while Mr. Taylor is on the grass next to the sidewalk.”
“It should be noted that Mr. Taylor is on his hands and knees while Mr. Ritchson is punching him. Mr. Ritchson’s two sons are also on their motorcycles watching this, before Mr. Ritchson tries to get back on his motorcycle, but runs it into the curb, and it falls over.”

It also revealed that “Alan then asks Ronnie if he had been drinking,” as the two men began shouting at each other.
The officer wrote, “Alan stated to us that Ronnie smelled like al**hol. At this point, the video shows Alan getting back on his bike after Ronnie kept yelling at him. Alan then revs his engine at Ronnie, urging him to move.”
“The video was unclear about what exactly happened next, but it then shows Alan pushing Ronnie to the ground and punching him several times. Alan then gets on his bike and revs the engine again, and the bike appears to fall to the ground.”
“Hitting him over and over while he is on the ground is not self defense… unless you are a bully or roid raging,” one comment read

The report concluded, “Ronnie then walks away, and Alan drives off with his two kids following him.”
A second officer’s report revealed that “Mr. Taylor stated he pushed [Alan] back. After he pushes him, the driver of the motorcycle gets off the bike and ‘beats the s**t out of me,’” aligning with earlier claims that the neighbor initially “instigated” the altercation.
The second report further added, “Mr. Taylor started going over the events again with me and stated the driver of the motorcycle asked him if he had been drinking or was drunk. Mr. Taylor stated, ‘Yeah I had a drink while watching soccer today in my house!’”

These findings come after Alan declined to pursue a potential charge of reckless endangerment against his neighbor.
Despite the controversy, the action star appears to be moving forward. On March 25, just days after the incident made headlines, he announced that he had wrapped post-production on Season 4 of Reacher.
He also teased the upcoming installment as the “best” and “most gripping” season yet in a brief Instagram clip.
“I don’t like the way [Alan] beat on that man. He could have made his point with less violence,” wrote one disappointed user

The internet is not "divided". Rightly Ritchson was both cleared by the police and had body cam showing he was defending himself against an aggressive idiot. There will always be some folk out there who have a void where their brain should be.
