October 6th, 2011 is the day my old brother turned 11. I was seven at this time. My step father had came home drunker than a sailor and had his pant zipper down. My biological mother was drunk and on drugs and immediately thought he was cheating. They started arguing. One thing lead to another. And my step father punched my mother. She had collapsed to the ground and my older brother ran to call our biological father. Our step father tackled him to the ground and sat on top of him. I remember screaming my heart out. I had lost my voice completely because I was screaming so much. But to this day, I do not have this situation bother me. I was put into foster care at seven but was adopted when I was eleven. I have had some up and downs but I am still getting through it. I have survived through the system and through life. History is written by survivors. If I can do this, you can too.💙🥰
