What is the funniest thing that happened during a school assembly?

we all used to do the stomp-stomp-clap to the tune of we will rock you at the end of every whole school meeting. every single person did it. one time i initiated it and i was so proud of myself for a week lol

July, 1996....
We are nearing the summer holidays; We had already finished our exams... Life was good.
The school had a tradition at the end of every year, where they asked some of the levers to do a presentation to prepare those that were entering exam year after the summer. It was a whole school assembly and we've all sat through the tedium before.
The head teacher was obviously struggling to find someone suitable to volunteer, so decided to nominate me and some of the lads to do it.
With only a few day to prepare, we came up with a plan, sorted out the equipment we'd need, and started to rehearse.
There were 5 of us (names changed).
Ayode was a Ghanaian giant with a voice that carried all the way home.
Walter was a upper class kid with all the nicest clothes.
Will was a ginger haired loudmouth.
Dan was was blonde haired pretty boy.
And I... Well, I was pretty athletic.
Now... If you happen to see a similarity to a particular music group that just so happened to reached No1 in the UK charts at around the same time as this event, well done you, you seem to think the same way we did.
I can honestly say, not one person in the school expected our presentation to begin with the speaker system kicking into life with...
'Yo, I tell you what I want, what I really really want'
Followed by me doing a series of backflips and cartwheels down the central isle towards the stage. Immediately followed by Ayode in a leopard print dress, with Walter hanging on for dear life as he struggled in his mum's high heels. Dan & Will, arm in arm, wearing micro dresses (in baby blue and orange), skipping down the isle.
We performed an entire routine for the length of the song, not without incidents.
Ayode's dress ripped, showing his boxers to the whole school.
Walter fell over several times, eventually breaking one of the heels.
Will was having a little bit too much fun with the balloons in his top.
And Dan got a little too into character and ended up sitting on the head teachers lap sucking a lollipop.
I swear, I was the only professional there!
With the song over, Dan took to the stage and announced that 'Exam year is shite. Try not to stress too much. Good luck!'
And with that, we left.
