So annoying when you get the companies saying how wonderfully 'environmental' they are and how 'green' they are and care about this that and the other and all the time there they are with product after product having planned obsolescence.
I've never heard of a study that didn't show positive results of a 4-day work week, but employers still don't want to do it.
Beethoven was such an assh*le, I love him. His brother, after buying some land, was so proud of himself he made himself business cards with his name and "Landowner" printed on them. Beethoven thought it was so stupid, he had business cards made for himself that said "brainowner."
Every ring tells a story, stories that ended sooner than they should’ve. So many people never got a chance to do what they wanted. Many love stories were destroyed, kids never got a chance to grow up, people never had a chance to start a family, get a better job or improve themselves. May all victims of the war rest in peace.
Though she went kind of nuts later in life, Victoria was a freaking b a d a s s. But I must note that she chose Frederick Douglass without his consent.

From Wikipedia: " the sting—particularly that of P. grossa—is among the most painful of all insects, though the intense pain only lasts about five minutes.[One researcher described the pain as "...immediate, excruciating, unrelenting pain that simply shuts down one's ability to do anything, except scream"
No one’s gonna look at a 7 year old and think “Damn she ugly” And no one’s going to think “Chinas a terrible country with ugly kids”. The literal only thought will be “Awww there’s a 7 year old singing, how adorable”

It still amazes me that with todays technology we are still able to lose entire planes. The Malaysian flight disappearance drives me crazy.
That would be Queen Elizabeth 1st I know QE2 reigned for a long time but not that long.
Do the fish get stressed out if you look at them? Like I’d be very stressed out if someone with a distorted face keeps staring at me for a while. (Just asking a question please don’t downvite)
I heard about a woman who hid her boyfriend in the attic of the house she shared with her husband where he lived for 7 years and even managed to move into her new attic when she moved house and her husband had no idea the whole time that his wife was cheating. Eventually the husband became abusive to his wife and the boyfriend ran out of the attic to save her. He shot her husband and they made it look like someone had broken in by locking her in a wardrobe and taking a few valuables. He was eventually caught by the police.
Okay, not a good summary of the study at all. First, it was about schizophrenia. Second, female voices activated the right anterior superior temporal gyrus (language processing/social cognition), while male voices activated the mesio-parietal precuneus (visuospatial processing) in addition to the right anterior superior temporal gyrus. Third, couldn't be associated with pitch or behaviour. Fourth, this study is nearly 20 years old and studied only 33 men, that isn't even past a margin of error. All in all, it can be summed up with the meme quote "Your sample sizes are small, your standard deviations are high, your conclusion means nothing, and you should feel bad".
The schools you donate to may simply harvest the usable organs and sell them (illegal for you to do for advance money while still alive). Or they may sell it for weapons testing. “Jim Stauffer believed his mother's body would be used for medical research. Instead, it was used to test bomb impact.” https://www.reuters.com/investigates/special-report/usa-bodybrokers-industry/
Bad idea, kids that age aren't capable of following the first rule of Fight Club...
How? It takes me that much time to copy down the numbers or register them in my head. How is she so good at this?
Sten guns: inexpensive to manufacture, prone to spontaneous firing.
Sound like the Manhattan Project, a movie in the 80's about a student building a nuke as his science fair project.
meh, when I pass by a public pool with lots of chlorine in it, my eyes already start tearing up, itching...
Do we not have enough sci-fi movies proving that this sort of “hey, let’s do this & see what happens” can go horribly wrong? 😂
And after they got caught, the indignant outrage had begun: "Discrimination!! Russophobia!!111"
EEEWWWWWW, omg, will Australia please stop being the home of nightmares?? I want to go and see all the cute and furry things but there are soooo many scary death things!!!
Fascinating. Kind of like how plants and water respond to positive/negative music or human interaction. Living in France, I've learned that cheese is an entity unto itself as it is composed of binômes that are affected by the environment it is cultured in. A brie de Meaux tastes different from a brie de Nangis. It is the same with sourdough bread-it tastes different across the globe because the natural airborne yeasts are different and impart a different flavor, even a few miles apart.
this is a problematic claim, while there is little doubt he is strong, very few people and events will combine the totals of weightlifting & powerlifting. If few others compete in the format, then he's just technically one of the the strongest men to have lived, because the cometitive pool is just that small.
It’s panic alright because I get into my fight and flight response
And a large part of that success actually came from bypassing part of the hardware intended to slow it down! The information on how to was given to Crash Bandicoot developer Naughty Dog, because they couldn't get the cartoony effects they wanted even though the system was capable. They contacted Sony, ad a person there ended up explaining the throttle and how to bypass it. The information was shared with other game developers, ad the rest is history. There is a video about it on youtube I think.
Another source tells it differently. Obviously she had been treated for [breast] cancer so she knew, but "they knew she had cancer for some time but in the final month Paul kept the approximate time she had left to himself so Linda would not have the burden of running out of time." That paints an ever so slightly different picture.
The study I read said, as long as you completely dry your hands, the amount of bacteria was the same. It's leaving some moisture on your hands that breeds bacteria.
USPS employeee #1: "Slow month, dontcha think?" USPS Employee #2: "Nah, people are using e-mail instead."

Then can they file taxes jointly as a married couple and get a better tax break?
they infiltrate the nest, de-aggravate the workers via pheromones, and 1v1 the queen to kill it.
I was looking to read about the story of the woman's ex-boyfriend living in her attic for 12 years, but it was only in the headline. If you are too... It happened in South Carolina, USA. She thought she had a poltergeist. Her adult sons and nephew searched the attic and found her ex from 12 years ago asleep in the back of the attic. They found cups filled with feces and urine. He also has adjusted the vents to watch her in her bedroom. The ex ran out and escaped before the police arrived and hasn't been seen since. https://www.huffpost.com/entry/woman-finds-ex-boyfriend-living-attic-12-years-after-break-up_n_1876759
Well that just sounds awful. At that point I'd move. Find somewhere without an attic... but I bet sleeping is difficult and she's always looking over her shoulder and into her vents still.
Load More Replies...No more. I felt traumatized by some of these AND, to make matters worse, like the complaints below - click bait. I was lured in by a headline of which its story wasn't even included.
There are a total of 123 not 50, and the ex is #71 on the list
