Hey guys, I got this one answer wrong, but I swear I'm spelling it correctly; any advice? XD (pic attached to following comment)
I knew all of them, but I did get a bit stuck on all the Jamses. I knew their last names, just not the order they came in. Not bad, considering I'm British and most of my knowledge of early US presidents came from The Simpsons and Family Guy. Everyone after Chester A Arthur was easy as I did history in high school and the 1900s/WW1/2/Cold War etc covered enough American history as well as British.
I just find it weird that anyone would be taught to memorise this list. I mean, being aware of history is one thing, and I could name quite a few British Prime Ministers from things they were known for at the time, just like I can name some significant US presidents, but no way would I be able to list them all like this, and no way anyone in Britain would be expected to.
25/40. I'm British, and my knowledge of US presidents largely comes from movies and TV. I can, however, name all the Kings and Queens of England thanks to The Monarch Song from Horrible Histories.
I look through the list and although I am not American I recognize that some of these men were great presidents, some not so great, some just mediocre. But they all had gravitas and respect for the office of POTUS. Except one. And I have just finished reading the letter that DJT sent to the Norwegian Prime Minister and realize the world is now at the mercy of a petulant child with access to nuclear weapons
I had one of those little stands with all the plastic presidents (up to Johnson at that time). I used to play with it constantly - I don't know why. But it helped knowing a lot of the presidents. Even so, some of the names I just forgot.
#6 I had to start singing Lydia oh Lydia, encyclopedia, Lydia the tattooed lady.. and down the road came Andrew Jackson. Thanks Kermit the Frog. 27/40, I will now point out to my husband, I do indeed listen to him.
I couldn't remember Buchanan! I should have skipped him and went back.
I got #39 wrong. I put down S******d the Orange Monkey. I have no idea why that's not his name.
