It took me a few seconds to realise what the picture was, I thought at first it hadn’t loaded properly and was appearing corrupted.

The building is all, and all is the building. No basement, no roof, just an infinity of floors, an infinity of people, a recursive glitch in the Matrix run wild worse than The Architect's worst nightmares of Agent Smith run wild. Forget the elephant standing on an unending stack of turtles; it's tenament floors all the way down. Maybe it's like a rent-controlled Moibus Strip, everlastingly wrapping back upon itself so that you can never leave, like an overcrowded Hotel California to the End of the Universe. :D

It makes me feel grateful. Grateful that my parents emigrated to NZ at the end of the 1950s. Not from Hong Kong, but still grateful they chose so well.

Thank you for showing an actual picture....not everyone wants to or can afford to travel but we all can appreciate truthful reality

"Please travel more" seems a little bit accusing and narrow-minded to me. Billions of people around the world don't have the opportunity to travel. It's nice, that you educate us, but please think about the people who will only know a lot of places from pictures on the internet.

It's obvious (or it should be) that all of them are different buildings, thats not the point. Personally the image makes me anxious because it shows that there are a looot of people there.

I would love to travel more, its just hard to, especially now.

Sorry man but you're wrong on this one. Those buildings are all part of the same housing complex and they very much are on the same block, albeit a large city block. This is tremendously common in HK. Look up Laguna City. I thiiiink the picture you're referencing is South Horizons, similar situation. The buildings are not as close as this picture makes them look, but they're all on the same block in the same complex.

I love that the architect made a design that was so good that they decided to use the same design for all of the blocks, and that the urban planners were considerate enough to place a gap between them.
