My name is Matt Benedetto, and I am a self-taught product designer that is on a quest to invent useless things that help solve everyday problems that do not actually exist, called Unnecessary Inventions. Each useless invention combines a carefully crafted balancing act of being potentially useful in problem-solving yet truly unnecessary. Each invention is created from my design studio in Burlington, Vermont.
Over the past month, I have identified nine new problems facing no one in this world with each solution is absolutely unnecessary. If you find yourself desiring to use my new inventions, you should reevaluate your life immediately.

With more refinement the hovering umbrella could become a thing. It looks rather bulky now.

Drones still need remote controllers/joysticks. So it's not hands free as "intended". Also, it's a bit loud and dangerous to have drones that near your head. When they solve these problems, indeed it can become a thing, but until then... I guess we better just go with the umbrella hat. ♥

1. I've got PLENTY of corgi hair - willing to ship anywhere! 2. I have a pair of sunglasses somewhere with mirrors on them..... part of a spy kit I got when I was 9 or 10. And 3, the finger needs to be covered in more silicone to make it more realistic - I can't creep out if it's too fake! Also, I need to order 1,000 of them. Now when I give people the finger in traffic, I can throw it in their window too

I walk my dog off leash sometimes in areas where folks are running, biking, etc. The mirror would be handy to see if someone is coming up behind me so I can leash her. She can be unpredictable sometimes with bikers; sometimes she's okay and other time she kind of goes nuts. Where to order please?

How is the drone flying..and where is the rest of the umbrella. Look how close the drone is to the wall...look at the shadows...if the drone is that close the the wall and the umbrella is wider than the drone...perspective isn't off as the shadows show how close it is. guess photoshop for that one?

nvm its tilting forward showing that the umbrella is hitting the wall in back. so is just very very close.

I love the way english talking persons enters ÅÄÖ randomly to make it look swedish. Especially when the word "båg" is swidish for hoax...
