Me, Thomas Forsyth, and my buddy Owen Gildersleeve have known each other for over 10 years since meeting at Brighton University.
Whilst pursuing our own paths in illustration and 3d design, we’ve always been regular collaborators. Recently, this led us to take on the challenge of pushing the limits of a very familiar material – paper!
By working together and using traditional hand skills in combination with state of the art software, electronics and processes like 3d printing, we’ve developed some new techniques that enable us to do some really cool stuff.
It all started when we were asked to make a life-sized paper car. Then we made an electronic owl that can learn to follow coloured objects. Then this all led to us being flown to America to create a life-sized paper sculpture of Iron Man for Comic Con in Silicon Valley.
