75 Times British People Took A Joke To Another Level With Their Perfectly Dry Humor
There’s so much to admire about the British, from their rich history and iconic traditions to their endless supply of tea. But one thing we particularly love is their sarcastic, wonderfully awkward, and often completely straight-faced sense of humor. Sometimes subtle, sometimes delightfully absurd, and occasionally so dry that you might miss the joke altogether, British humor truly has a style of its own. The best part is that it can turn even the most ordinary, awkward, or mildly inconvenient situation into something absolutely hilarious.
And that’s exactly what today’s collection is all about. We've rounded up some hilarious examples that perfectly capture this unique comedic talent, proving that sometimes all you need is a perfectly timed bit of sarcasm or an understated observation to make people laugh. Keep scrolling, Pandas, and see how many of them manage to make you laugh out loud.

We call them "portables" in Canada. I have never, ever, seen one move.
I do not "get" toblerone, you have a pyramid shaped piece of chocolate that is hard to eat.
I remember when my dad was dyíng, my work (retail grocery store) "kindly" let me have the rest of the day off so I could rush to his bedside in the hospital hospice wing. I was the only one who would stay with him, so I sat up with him all night and he died around 3am. Since my mom had refused to stay, I also had to arrange the mortuary pickup. Finally got done with all of that around 8am. Had work at 10:30am. I had tried to call in at 5am (when the manager got in) to call off that day since, you know, my dad just díed right in front of me. Nope, the vitamins department NEEDS you, get to work today or else!
Have they previously enjoyed snacking on a chocolate starfish before it was ruined for them?
If it's translated from German, I think this just might not be British humor.
Similar to, in the US, a person can enlist in the military and can be k****d in combat before ever having their first beer.
It was for adverts. Let's not pretend it was anything different. The yanks have to make more money. S***w the game.
I *swear*, the ONLY consideration these places have when they need to substitute is getting an exact match for the price. Is it a case of 'well, the customer has already paid, and we can't be arsed to ding them for more money or issue a refund', do you think?
When the matches finish, they'll have to remove 64,146 little pieces of blue tape.

I want to know where someone gets experience being a Head of Stonehenge before they're hired to be the Head of Stonehenge?
Yeah, while I was job hunting, I filled my car's tank once every three months, whether it needed it or not.
He often visited the small rural town where I lived. The man and his entourage are all 🔔 🔚 of the greatest proportions
anyone else use to imagine someone running alongside you when you were in a vehicle while playing *floor is lava*?
Can someone please explain? Does this mean that you move into a different place and someone else moves into your old place?
Are there Lynx men, really? I thought this stuff was strictly for teenaged boys, badly masquerading as grown men? I preemptively banned it (well, Axe products, the North American name for the same rubbish) before my son hit puberty. Now my house periodically reeks of Irish Spring, but I'll take it; nothing Axe/Lynx-scented is crossing the threshold.
I've got a ridiculous amount of 4/5G data on my phone... I've only ever used 50% of it.
I have some tasty sweets. They are in the back of this windowless van along with some very cute puppies.
I’ve seen actual bananas on the tree. Please rethink this. Where do you suggest the bunch of bananas actually connect? Cuz it sure as s**t isn’t hanging upside down. The bunch of bananas has a central connection to each other which, wonder of wonders, is the same place they connect to the tree. JFC, do you really think every banana connects individually? They are called bunches because that’s what they are. And they actually grow as bunches.
Someone prove to me this woman isn't Scottish. Because I see a little Scottish woman. And I don't mean Wee Jimmy Krankie. Or Janette Tough, either.
I like the probationary drivers putting a P on their car... makes them easier to avoid like the L plated/signed.
They still have them but really small. Was given some the other fay
For those from outside the UK who are wondering, this is Phillip Schofield. He was a famous TV presenter in the UK having been on TV since the 80s. He was seen as something of a national treasure and mum's and grandma's loved him. He was married to a woman for many years and has two children with her. He publicly came out as gay live on air on his show called This Morning. The public congratulated him and commended him on his bravery. Then it later transpired that whilst still married, he'd started a relationship with a young male runner who worked on the show. He'd known this young man since he was 15, and had helped him get work experience at ITV. Schofield claims the relationship didn't start until the young man was 20, but that didn't stop the allegations of grooming and a***e of power. Schofield was quickly fired from the show and his career is now ruined.
Are they running out of ideas? Some were good, like the 'chocolate starfish' one, but the rest were terrible.
I think most of them were specifically Scouse, many very localised and very much linked to specific timing and events.
