Traveling The World With Spongebob

As I didn’t want to travel alone, mostly in India, I got an unconventional travel buddy: SpongeBob SquarePants.

This is my favorite cartoon, and I noted that I had always traveled with him before, because my necessaire is a Spongebob’s one. And it is the necessaire I always take with me during my travels.

All the sudden I realized I had always traveled with him, so why not this time also? Besides that, he is such a charismatic cartoon! Always with such contagious happiness. His ravishing smile would make me cheer up in the most stressful moments so I decided I would get him with me.

We would be traveling India, Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam together. Unfortunately, I lost him in Bagan while cycling. Once I noted I headed back to try to find him on the ground, as the last time I took pictures with him was like 5 min ago. I do the same path but he is no longer there. I was very sad, but I tried to focus my mind on memories and that this toy would be now cheering up some Burmese child. How couldn’t someone pick him from the ground with all that happiness in his face? Now I’m sure he is completing a bigger mission of putting joy on a child’s face. I left a gift in Myanmar to someone and that’s recomforting.

Meanwhile, we had many adventures and he had the chance to ride a balloon over Bagan. Taking pictures of India with him was super fun. People were looking at me like I’m crazy and laughing or looking in a weird way. At the Taj Mahal, they didn’t let him in. They put it on the X-ray machine, then comes a guy to check him out, and this guy calls 4 more guys. All of them were there checking out the toy and evaluating the situation and finally, I needed to go back to put him on a looker. They didn’t let SpongeBob in 🙁

He was also barred in the Bay Taj, but in this case, I just couldn’t take him out of my bag. I just couldn’t take any pictures with him. We had a lot of other episodes, fun ones. After all, he was turning this journey funnier.

We made a lot of friends and took pictures of them.
