Need some stress relief even though it’s only Monday? We know just the thing to help: this video of Tom Hanks reading nice tweets. Released by Twitter Movies as promotion for Hanks’ role as legendary icon of kindness Mr. Rogers in A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, the video has the star narrating moments of goodwill posted by Twitter users. And as you would expect, he has nothing but nice things to say about all of them.

It can be fun to listen to Jimmy Kimmel’s “mean tweets” series in which celebrities read insults directed at them, often humorously disarming the people who make them in the process. But there’s no twist, sarcasm or clap back here. Hanks even gets emotional himself about some of the wholesome posts, and his earnestness is sure to give you the warm fuzzies too.

Last month, an interview with the New York Times focused on Hanks’ real-life good deeds and philosophy of kindness. The article drew responses in which people shared their own stories of encounters with the actor, attesting to what a nice guy he is.

Searching his name on Twitter will bring up stories of his gratitude and respect towards the journalists and film staff he’s worked with, as well as his willingness to help out complete strangers.

Maybe Hanks’ next project should be recording an advent calendar in which every day is an audio clip of an uplifting and motivational message. Wouldn’t it be easier to get out the door in the morning with him encouraging us to look in the mirror and tell ourselves that we can achieve whatever we set out to do today?

Here’s what commenters thought about the wholesome video
