Some of the best tools are one-purpose tools invented by people who actually do the kind of work for which the tools were designed. I've seen some amazing things on the service counters of both electrical and plumbing supply houses, and in most cases knew exactly what the tool was for just by looking at it, and bought more than a few of them. I might have only used each of them once a year or less, but when I did use them I was so glad I had them.
