Polish Photographer Combined Old And New Photos Of Same Places To Bring History To Life
Family heirlooms, old photographs of places where frequented our ancestors and they themselves grasp in the frames. Each of us in our private archives hold such treasures. Grandmother at a wedding or a casual stroll of grandfather decades old always makes us warm at heart.
Sometimes even I would like to move in time and be there then. Using a simple procedure and patience it is possible.
Blażej Duk – photographer from Poland found old photos taken in the area where he was born. The photographs were places that he knew and people – some where members of his family, the other inhabitants of his homeland. He decided to follow the footsteps of old photos by taking photos of images by applying them in the exactly space in which they were made. What came out of this experiment?
