About twenty months ago my life fell apart. The woman that I’d moved across the country with decided that she didn’t love me any more and the thought of staying in my new town with no friends and no job seemed too depressing for me to handle. After one night of sleeping in the woods I traded my big bulky 4×4 to some shady dudes at the discount lot for a little Honda Civic and basically just left with a handful of things. I had no idea where I was going or what would happen with my life.
Things moved a little slow at first, but after taking some time to just try to heal and get my head straight I began to formulate some sort of vague plan.
I would do what I had always wanted to do, or I would admit total defeat and who knows what.
For almost the last two years I have been traveling full time working as a nature photographer and just learning how to be a person in their late thirties who isn’t willing to live a life that wasn’t meant for him. Sometimes its Top Ramen but sometimes its wild caught salmon, sitting next to a fire overlooking the ocean.
I only have this one life, I’m going to do everything in my power to make it count.
