I wondered if his body made it around, but ... nope ... he was buried there. Other people on his ship did make it around, but I guess they don't get any credit?

Lots of arguments for sure, but Alexander Graham Bell definitely invented a telephone (was the the first? Did he nick the work of others? 🤷) Magellen just as definitely didn't circumnavigate the world, on account of having died part way round.

It is well documented that judges and the law limited power to kings in ancient Israel, and there is strong evidence that similar restrictions were used in other powers in the region - and that's only one tiny region of the globe.
