I remember being about 10 and starting to develop. I was being bullied by two "popular" girls at school. One of the things they bullied me about was my chest and they would tell me that I needed to tell my mom that I needed a training bra. When I walk in my door my shoes come off as I head to my room to change I to either pj's or a gown. I'm a mid 30s woman and it has to be really obvious for me to know if someone is wearing a bra or not, especially if they're wearing a hoodie. Either OOP is downplaying how obvious it was, or her family is weird. As an aside, I just found the first 100% comfortable bras of my life, and I can go all day without even having to make even the smallest readjustment, and I'm never going back to even sitting around the house without a bra after experiencing this level of comfort. That said, nobody else should care what someone else is wearing

I was raised in a conservative family, and as an adult it being obvious a woman is braless makes me uncomfortable. But I keep my stupid mouth shut. It isn't my business.

If wearing a bra is causing so much discomfort that you need to removed it immediately you get home (or your uncle's home), then your bra doesn't fit. Get measured and fitted for a bra that fits and supports.

The only thing that makes me lean towards NAH or a slight YTA is simply: it's their house and their rule. It's odd, it's a bit absurd, but it's not harmful. I never wear slippers, but my in laws want all guests to ewar slippers. I don't like wearing them, but it's their house so I do. I don't see this as any difference. It doesn't sound like she was forced to be there, she doesn't live there full time. She's a guest, so why not adhere to their rules?
