Someone on the first photo made a good point about how fads like these and the people participating are getting internet fame over... not doing something that's kind of annoying to do? If i stop brushing my hair and post the pictures online would people flock to comment "self-empowerment! stop normalizing the sexualization of women!!!" Its a known psychological fact that specific things are generally found attractive to the other sex, its each individual's choice to take those things into account or not; its fine to ignore them, or protest the forced compliance to do such grooming or behavior techniques, but to act as if the psychology is absent is just ignorant. Not that anyone who has a positive view of these trends is stupid and should learn up, I want these things to be normalized as well, as far as it can be. However, it's unrealistic to just splash cold water on society and be like "hey change now" and expect the CORE PSYCHOLOGY of attractiveness to flip 180.

Actually, it's not just women who feel the pressure not to be hairy. Men are supposed to just have hair on their chests, for some reason, and those many who have very hairy backs often feel ashamed and go for waxing regularly. I think I have finally gotten my son to stop this nonsense and just accept how he is.

Aside from anything else, shaving or waxing body hair tends to lead to ingrown hairs and infections. It's more than worth the funny looks not to have to do it.

That’s great and all but number 7 is actually a woman who doesn’t shave and has been interviewed and blogged about it for years. That photo has been going in the web for ages and I bet the other photos are old as well since if you stop shaving in January, you don’t automatically get an amazing bush in weeks or even months! 😁💕

It is so interesting how we are used to look at sheer naked legs only on a young woman like her. My mind skips a second, then passes on. 1996 I spent my senior year in the US. Friends there were startled that I didn't shave my upper legs' peach fuzz. And shocked that my german tampons didn't have applicators back then. Times change and in many cases to the better :)

This is all hypocrisy on your part and on the part of all women who don't shave. You still use mascara and go the hairdresser and wear cosmetics and do manicure and pedicure and sexy dresses, don't you? None of that is natural, so why do you do it? It's the same for men also. They go the barber, they cut their fingernails and toenails, they shave their beards. Do you know how horrible a man would like if he does not do all those things? You wouldn't even want to look at him: even a monkey in the zoo would look more attractive. So please don't use this empty argument that it's not natural not to shave your armpit and leg hair. It's equally not natural to take care of everything else in your body. Her septum ring + the haircut is SOO beautiful, I wish I looked like her. I also notice that people either say that she is fat, hairy or looks like a man. Not just this photo, but in the comments section of the other photo.These comments are horrible and are just reiterating the ideas that Januhairy is trying to fight. The idea that women have to look a certain way, whether that be feminine, skinny, smooth legs, be a good wife, can't get angry, etc. This challenge/article is all about self love and being comfortable in ones own skin, and I find it repulsing that people are not only going to be negative and against this beautiful form of self love, but then have the nerve to speak against that is even more disgusting. We are constantly seeing advancements in not only humans rights, but womans rights and it is the people who have the nerve to speak out against this is what is giving us the one step forward, two steps back type thing.

Everyone saying "natural state, natural state" Ok so what about i stop using toilet paper, toothbrush and toothpaste, with my dirty a*****e, yellow teeth and bad breath, i could say that's in its natural state but we all know that would be rancid. You see my point, humans are far from their natural state you idiots, we stopped being natural the first time we ever put on an animal fur for warmth. This is just gross ladies and i know i won't see a single woman walking down the street showing off this kind of body hair, it won't happen, because, feminist or not, you all know its a bit gross.
