“Autumn” was created on a 56x56cm Arches sheet (22″x22″). Started at the end of 2015, this piece took me 370 hours to complete! Using only a stippling technique, black ink and a 0,10mm nib, it contains around 7 million of inked dots.
I’ve also drew a creative alphabet, illustration named “Into the wild” and the one called “Patience and discipline”. This one is a part of a series in which I’ll represent the four seasons. I hope you’ll like it!

Share on FacebookHow did you estimate the number of dots? Im guessing you did not count one by one.
Ahah indeed I didn't count one by one. It's an estimation, as I stipple at a speed of 5-8 dots per second.
Load More Replies...Seriously beautiful, casaltaxavier. I admire your talent and dedication. Thanks for sharing!
I also experiment with stipple and I must say its not as much about being patient. I personally find the stipple process to be very soothing and meditative. Much more than any other medium I have tried. I can quietly make dots for hours! It's great! The author has done a brilliant job here.
Load More Replies...Yeah! How did you come up with such an estimate ? You're awesome, casaltaxavier
Thank you ! I estimated the amount of dots as I stipple at a speed of 5-8 dots per second :)
Load More Replies...well done! Love pen and ink stippling. Check out my work and let me know what you think.
I love this technique! I remember learning it in high school. (I could never do anything close to this, of course!) I just think it looks amazing!
What patience you must have, or you have no friends and nothing else to do with your time, But these are brilliant, Thanks.
You have amazing talent! What a treat to see something like this that must have been a labor of love from the first dot to the last. Thank you for sharing. I loved this.
Days like to day before i go online, i think im an artist, then this pops up...
I could manage 5-7 dots every half hour trying to figure out placement - and it would still be a mess! Beautifully executed...
Wonderful. I wish I could have that . I would just stare at it for hours every now and then. It is Amazing.
