The largest known crab is the Japanese Spider Crab, and it’s nowhere near as big as this crab, captured on Google Maps!

Properly nicknamed “Crabzilla”, a gigantic crab that’s at least 50 feet wide was just spotted on Google Maps, lurking in the shallow water of Kent Harbour in the UK. Some passionately argue the creature is real, while others insist it must be an unusually-shaped sandbank or some kind of hoax – take a look at the pictures below and decide for yourself.

    Gigantism is not unheard of across all species of animals. I would think aquatic examples can represent the extremes. This looks intentional
