Would you pay hundreds and thousands of dollars to wear your worst nightmares? Well, creatives Kayla Arena and Toby Barron have created a creepy clothing series that is designed to look as if it was made from human flesh. They called it the Ed Gein, and anyone can order a piece on their Etsy. It's definitely some of the creepiest pieces of clothing ever.
If you're wondering, Edward Theodore "Ed" Gein was one of America's most infamous killers and body snatchers. His crimes gained attention when authorities discovered Gein was exhuming corpses from nearby graveyards and designing trophies from their skin and bones. Movies like Psycho, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and others were inspired by the life of this horrific man.
The main components of these handmade monstrosities are latex, silicone, and jacket. The creators claim that the "Drop Dead Sexy Boots" and other creations are "hand sewn together with love and spooky thoughts" to "make sure you stand out from the crowd", but it's hard to believe that anyone would like to look like Freddy Krueger in honor of a mad serial killer. I'd be seriously worried that I would be stopped by police who thought I went all Ed Gein on some dead bodies and decided to flaunt it. I didn't even notice that they called the line "Ed Gein" until after I wrote this, so now I feel unoriginal but I can't think of anyone else who used people's skin for things like furniture besides anonymous Nazis. Regardless, for anything but a Halloween party, this stuff's pretty s****y looking, especially since they went to "slightly rotted corpse" as the motif. But I guess Gein made pretty ugly stuff too. Lots of nipples.

Honestly would never wear it but I don't get what people think is wrong with it. There has been and always will be controversial art. It's quite obviously not real and no possible it would even look like that if I was. I personally thinks it's pretty cool (however idk who would buy it). So you what I say? I do find it disturbing but I also think that the bowler hat and the boots would be cool to wear as part of a Halloween costume or something. I understand it may be a little too vivid for some people but if you love it or hate it you have to admit it takes alot of talent to create something like that

Call me sick, but I actually like these. Sure I wouldn't wear them to school or work, but they do have their own time and space. I may just be part of that crowd, but I do enjoy dark art such as this. It's art. It's not real, I don't get why everyone is so pissed off. I personally think it's very well made and unique. And makes quite an impact, that is for sure.

Reminds me of the Germans in WWII were they made lamps and other thing with the skins of the people in the concentration camp. These people are mentally sick and need to be watched. It shows their mindset. What is the next step for them.

why is it so scariest one? people wear animal skin everyday and nobody has a problem with that, so now that you see it from a different point of view is scary? in my opinion, these would be one of the best "stop animal exploitation" poster and would have a bigger impact on humans than the rest

Pretty cool. Reminded me of the skins of the animals i am wearing. Leather shoes, leather jackets. Hopefully one day i'll be able to not wear leather. Not eating them was my first step.
