This Cat-Inspired Robot From Japan Can Help To Cope With Anxiety
If you are a very busy member of our modern society, Qoobo might be exactly what you need.
Qoobo is a round fluffy pillow with a realistic cat tail that moves when the cushion is being petted. This unique robot pet was created by “Yukai Engineering” from Japan. The company presents Qoobo as a therapy or relaxation robot cat and markets it mainly for young people living alone, children, and the elderly. The creators say that having an animal on your lap has healing qualities and that Qoobo with its soft cat fur and responsiveness to touch is the next best thing if you can’t have a real pet animal.
Would you enjoy having this interactive cat pillow at your home?

Share on FacebookI like the idea and can see it could be a comfort for people with allergies or other situations that keep them from enjoying a pet.
Also two other great things! They don't need the constant care or aren't jerks no matter how kind you are to them!
Load More Replies...Cute, but I prefer my cats to be real :) definitely an option though, if someone can't keep one for whatever reason
I would have anxiety about carrying this thing through the gym with me. Most people already think I'm weird because I don't talk to anyone. This would make me even weirder...
It’s actually ideal for those livinh in apartments where there’s a strict no-pet policy.
It should also have a purring modus! Purring soothes and can quicken the healing of broken bones and osteoporosis.
No I don't like it, It could have been made to look like a real cat instead of a round ball with a tail, its not even cute..
Agreed. It looks like a deformed cat from a weird cat-hater's horror movie.

I hate that all of these companies are pushing sales for their worthless c**p by pushing the mental illness card. This is honestly just all around stupid af. Look at the title of this without the word anxiety in it. "Buy this robot cat." SO DUMB!! and I guarantee you it makes super annoying mechanical noises. Plus, it's not a real cat so it doesn't groom itself. So you'll end up with an old, ugly, dirty thing that looks like roadkill and you won't be able to wash it.
There are much better toys than this already on the market. I was expecting more. Thankfully I have my own real cat to go hug!
No I prefer a living breathing cute cat, not a round ball with a tail, nothing cute about that.
Why not make it look like a real cat, i don't get it, why a round pillow w/ a tail?
I HAVE TO AGREE W/AOKI! THERE'S NOTHONG LIKE THE REAL THING! AND IN RESPONSE TO EMMA PERKINS ON GETTING A HAIRLESS CAT I PREFER MINE TO HAVE FUR!
It's a pillow with a tail. If this makes u happy then u are probably a child or someone with dementia. Otherwise, it's silly. No way can it replace a real life pet.
Haha instead of crazy cat lady, you end up being the even crazier pillow lady!
i understand the idea, and actually like it for elders (specially the senile ones) or really young infants, but i also think is kinda sad when your company is a pillow. I think it would eventually depresse me.
