One time in English class when I definitely should have kept my stupid mouth shut: We had a multiple-choice pop-quiz on a story we were supposed to have read ( that I forgot about ), and I aced it just based on prior knowledge of the subject matter. The teacher commented on how many of my classmates did poorly, and said, "If you'd actually read the story like Khavrinen did, it would have been easy." Like Mike Birbiglia, what I should have said was nothing, but I was too honest not to admit that I hadn't read it either.

OMG! That reminds me once when working at Kinko's, some guy wanted our computer person to touch up his shirt and she did more and more until he was finally happy with it. But it was a red shirt and something about the shadows in the photo made the tips of his ears red, too. His ear tips matched his shirt and once you saw it, you couldn't unsee it. I think that was the most I ever laughed at work.
