Being pregnant is no funny joke. Random phantom pains, the inability to hold your bladder, "morning" sickness that hits you in the middle of the night and all the other best meme-worthy nuisances that come with it sure takes their toll. You and your partner have tried everything the doctor suggested, but nothing seems to work. So now you have to mix it up and seek some alternatives.

Which is why I would never offer my seat to a woman who looks pregnant because she might just be fat and would take offense. Apparently you are supposed to read a pregnant woman's mind.

I'll always offer my seat to others. I don't mind standing, because i could've made the other persons day.

I once said to a woman (who was very slender except for a huge pregnant tummy) 'Oh my god, it looks like you are just about to drop! When is it due?' She replied with the most scowliest of faces 'It's not a baby...it's a tumour' Since then, even if I see a baby emerge from a woman's vagina, I will never assume or ask. I no longer see pregnant women.

Last time pregnant, an elderly (80+) gentleman in a snazzy hat with a cane came up to me and said: "I'm not supposed to ask unless the baby is shaking my hand, but congratulations."

Just offer your seat already. If she is pregnant she needs it. If she is fat, her feet ankles knees hips back probably hurt, she needs it. Don't ask why.

I have repeatedly tried to explain this logic to my well meaning, and sweet idiot of a husband. Bless his heart

Right they are, even though you might feel uncomfortable. Your beauty will resonate. (Hans being serious for a change.)

I'm actually sad for her. Imagine that she was probably "invited promptly to look great so she can pose for a picture". I'm pretty sure all she wanted was to stay in bed and rest...

Wow...do people really do that? I mean, asking "are you pregnant?" is about the most obtrusive thing already, but asking if someone is getting twins (but for a deliberate insult) is just wrong.

I have the same with the period hormones...I've learned over the time (the hard way) not to discuss any "major" relationship issues I feel we have and just wait for the hormones to leave again. And I totally understand it's a different type of thing when you're pregnant.

It doesn't matter whether the glass is half-full or half-empty. It's the bladder that matters.

I'm the only person I know who lost weight from being pregnant. Of course I gained it all back and then some within about 6 weeks after the baby was born. :(
