This reminds me a bit about the day before the night my grandma died. She was in her wheelchair and more happy and excited than she’d been for over a year. I asked her how her day was, and she beamed saying, “Fred is taking to me to a dance tonight!” Now she had Alzheimer’s but was never upset or paranoid, but she did harken back to old memories rather than remembering new ones. My uncle Fred, named after her husband, had recently visited, so when she said “Fred’s coming to take me to a dance,” we assumed she was reliving that happy visit. That night she died from a heart attack. I really believe she knew my long-dead grandpa Fred had taken her for a dance in heaven 🥰
