While some illustrations are very clear in what they portray, sometimes such drawings can become a little bit too "on the nose." The works of authors like avogado6 are more poetic and enigmatic than that, and they make their viewer pause a little bit and reflect.
And even though they're united under a rigid pastel anime style, the topics are diverse and moods shift from blues to creepy and cruel. But no matter the topic, they have a certain melancholic and existential atmosphere that makes it hard to mistake his work for someone else's.

This reminds me of my kitty Sweetie who passed in May this year at 14 years. She would always come to comfort me when I was sad. Miss her and this comic is cute and sad
I felt sad for the young man one. While everyone grew old and died peacefully , he took his own life, probably he had nothing. Some angels are wondering why he is so young and sad here, unlike the others. While the elders were smiling knowing they had fulfill their life, the man face shown emptiness
Talk about parents who only care about how the family looks to people, bet he is abused, $20 on it
For anyone wondering, the text says "I can't work", "I can't eat", ""I can't go out", and "I can't go out"
Timelapse (graduation-newborn child-father of the bride-then his grand daughter)
Boys also wants pretty dresses, he's wearing a male middle school uniform like shinji(eva)
Japan has one of the most incredibly brutal work cultures. I work in the linguistics field (specifically sociolinguistics) and one of our projects was to help create a guide for Japanese women entering the work force to help create a healthy balance between work and life. It was extremely distributing to read how much pressure was placed on young people to get into the best University. Japan even has the term "karoshi" which means "death by overworking."
these are beautiful, i wish i could draw that well :) so much said without any speech bubbles.
