Then perhaps don't request a photoshop request from a guy famous for publically sharing posts where they either A. make it into a prank or B. refuse to change how people look and insist they don't need to. Those two things are literally what this artist is known for and anyone asking for something from them probably knows that. Perhaps we can try to take an initial stance of "this person probably has good intent" and see things through those lenses. I swear, the left is getting just as toxic as the right, and it's sad. (that last isn't at you Electric, but directed at the comments saying "didn't need it mansplained" and the calling the artist a d**k).

I agree. I understand his intentions, he wants to encourage the person to feel good in their skin, he did that with other requests as well. But he should't give advice not knowing what she has tried already

I think "with a help of a good dermatologist" is a great advice. First, dermatologists are not magicians. They have knowledge of an array of solution that could possibly help. But we are all different, so some treatments will work on some people and fail on others. It might be a long process of finding things that work. Also, a good dermatologist will have an idea of possible long term implications for each treatment. I doubt Casey "already tried everything". There is a huge range of possible treatments, while each of them should be tested over an extended period of time. In my case, it took me a whopping 30 years to find an effective treatment for my skin problems (12 years with my current dermatologist). Worst thing to do is to say "I tried everything" after a short period of time. Be patient, consult the same doctor multiple times and look for a treatment with his help.

That caught up my attention as well. Depending on where you live, doctors can get expensive. If they're not, then good products to solve acne have a pretty good chance to be. I remember when I had acne and was pretty skinny and I didn't know what else to do to solve it, I also wished I could see what I would look like if I managed to change those things about myself. I'm sad she can't solve her acne issues and can't even see her facial features properly, not even on a photoshopped picture :(

But then again, she may not have been to a dermatologist, she may not have "tried everything". The advice is sound.
