I have never learned how to ride a bike.

When people say "this will be as easy as riding a bike" my brain always immediately thinks "yikes".

Except that's not what that phrase means. The actual phrase is "it's just like riding a bike" and it's used to refer to something that once learned, is easy to do, even if not done for a long time. It's not about initially learning how to ride.

This is true. I rode bikes a lot when I was younger, then I got busy with work in adulthood and there was not any place or reason for me to ride for YEARS. I think it may have been about a decade that I didn't ride. Then, one day, I decided to start riding again for exercise. Jumped right on the bike and took off. I didn't even need to think about it; just did it. Amazing.

I learnt riding my bicycle at a young adult age. I never understood that phrase either. Now I have no difficulty riding it, but it's still a freakin' cardio sport! And you gotta focus on traffic (which includes people and animals), and ground elevations. It's fun and convenient, but it's definitely not easy.

Here in Finland we had to do bike trips at school where everyone had to ride a bike together to visit various places. I remember when someone still had training wheels when he was 8 years old and everyone laughed at him.

My brother would make fun of my when I was young and learning to bike, because I use to fall ways too often. I was bit sad by that, but then I learned that he didn't even know how to ride and that motivated me to learn and shove it in his face! Hahaha (it worked)

I love biking. I wish I could do it more but I have known many people who do not know how to ride a bike. I don't think this one is too unusual.

I haven't either. I've had balance issues all life long and this contributed to me not being able to master anything requiring a good sense thereof. So don't be so quick to judge, this person might also have a similar problem.

Unless you have a messed up inner ear, in which case you will struggle with balance all life long and will NOT learn to ride a bike.

You're never too old to start! It's really easy - yeah now you can say that it's easy to say that when I know how to ride a bike but you'll learn it in couple of hours.

Omg that's how I was also, I thought me and my sister were the only ones! I only learnt about 3 years ago as a adult how to ride, it doesn't feel natural for me to ride up hills and lift my butt off the seat, I feel like I'm going to fall off haha

I hate having to park, battle crowds, hope what I want is in stock and then wait in line to buy it. Generally, if Amazon doesn't have it, I don't need it. I have Amazon Prime to get free shipping and I get a delivery almost every day.

Not a difficult task. Interestingly, I changed three tires in my life, despite never owning a car. Turns out there are a lot of people out there that have cars but don't know how to do it and are completely helpless as a result. I only knew how because I had watched my grandpa do it as a kid once.
