Purrin', baby purrin'! Disco catio inferno! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pG8TyIEAqps
Load More Replies...My brother made a similar structure for his cats. They like being outside and it keeps them safe. He calls the Catio.
I would love to just be abke to let my cat roam free. Unfortunately where I live cats are as much orey as predator. She no longers wants to go outside unless i am outside to protect her. A catio will solve that.

At its heart, woodworking is simply the art of shaping wood into useful, or beautiful, forms, and you don’t need a thousand‑square‑foot workshop to begin. With a few basic tools, a small dedicated workspace, and a willingness to learn, you can turn raw lumber into shelves, boxes, stools, or whatever your imagination inspires.
First, carve out a workspace. A corner of the garage, a clean basement alcove, or even a sturdy folding table on the porch can serve as your workshop. Good lighting is important, natural daylight is ideal, but a bright work lamp will suffice. Lay down a protective mat or some scrap plywood to catch sawdust and prevent damage to floors.
AI nonsense. How the hell would that door open? And the top plant does not exist in real life.
Jup its AI, The slab of wood is blocking the door, between the 2 doorknobs on the left there is a hinge and there is a sheet draped over the radiator with a plant standing on it, And there is some random grass/strings growing on the door. Nothing in this pic makes sense.
Hey I like to decorate my doors with hair from the shower drain too
Load More Replies...I was excited about this for a second until I realized it’s not real.
What does this look like on the outside, as well as inside? It's beautiful!
It is however, treated and for the most part used the same as wood
Load More Replies...Make sure you have room to maneuver boards safely and enough clearance to swing a hand saw or operate a small power tool without knocking over random household items. Next, assemble a starter toolkit. You don’t need to buy high‑end tools on day one, opt instead for quality‑entry models. Begin with a tape measure, a combination square, a sharp carpenter’s pencil, a set of chisels, a block plane, and a reliable handsaw.
Looks like walnut, which is bendable. There are some amazing wood workers out there, and I've seen their work prior to AI so stop with that BS.
Load More Replies...You're going to fall over backwards. Make sure there is a row of pillows behind you to fall on.
Holy cow this thread should come with links so we can order the things… I’d buy that in a heart beat
Yeah, they’re going to have to build a railing on the side of the bed. But this is the kind of place where you can only sleep up in that loft until you’re 50/55 anyway.
Load More Replies...Also, the ladder is in the wrong place for safety - no handholds up there, the top rungs are very far apart, and you have to make a leap to the mattress. More AI c**p?
A cordless drill with a couple of basic bits will handle screws and pilot holes. If your budget allows, add a random‑orbit sander for smoothing surfaces and a portable circular saw for cutting larger boards. As you progress, you can upgrade tools or expand into stationary machines like a table saw or a benchtop planer, but those few essentials will get most beginner projects off the ground.
Yes, it does. If you know what you are doing. It's called CARPENTRY
Load More Replies...Again fake ai slob! front is open and yet on the right is a freaking door, Everything in this list is fake ai slob.
My guess is that there is a door so that you don't have to walk around it to get to whatever is behind it. Smart in my opinion.
Load More Replies...I'm wonderin' why they added the door? Maybe so they could enter from that side, in case shrubs are keeping them from goin' around...?
Safety must be your top priority. Always wear clear safety glasses to protect your eyes from flying chips and dust. A simple dust mask helps reduce inhalation of fine particles when sanding or cutting. Keep a first‑aid kit nearby, and never rush a cut, mistakes happen fastest when you hurry. Organize your tools so sharp edges are covered when not in use and clear away offcuts to avoid tripping hazards. A tidy workspace isn’t just neater; it’s a safer one.
Big old waste of beautiful wood (unless it's for the ultra rich). 🤨
And it may not look like it but its ai slop once again, link under pic sends you to a "digital artist" page on fb, AKA fake content.
That isn't AI, it's called carpentry. Don't be an insulting dolt.
Load More Replies...Choose your first projects wisely. Start with something small and rewarding, like a simple bookshelf, a wooden planter box, or a picture frame. These projects typically involve straight cuts, basic joinery like butt joints or pocket screws, and no complex curves. Following a step‑by‑step plan helps you practice measuring, cutting, and fitting, and each small success builds confidence.
The edges on the shelves need to be rounded, or you'll have hematomas from your neck to the tops of your thighs.
The only thing with bottom cabinet shelves who is reaching all the down to the back they need to be drawers
Southern yellow pine is ideal to work with. Plus, it hasn't been stained or painted yet. Shove it Pyla.
Load More Replies...As you master fundamentals, accurate layout, smooth sanding, and tight‑fitting joints, you’ll naturally tackle more ambitious work, such as a side table with mortise‑and‑tenon legs or a decorative wall shelf.
I'm going with gazebo, too ornate for a chicken coop, but above is a whole house and play yard for chickens so you never know.
Load More Replies...Needs that wire netting on top too, or else the raccoons will climb in and get the chickens.
I agree about putting netting across the top. We put chickens inside their new house before we finished the last step. Lost a chicken overnight. You've fixed it so a critter can't dig underneath. That's good. Very attractive!
More likely a cooker , dishwasher wouldnt need counter space open.?
Load More Replies...Go pound sand you idiot. You are being rude and insulting to other people's serious professional work.
Load More Replies...Learning resources abound online and in print. YouTube channels and woodworking blogs offer video tutorials that walk you through every stage of a project, often with tips for avoiding common pitfalls. Local libraries carry illustrated guides to hand tools, joinery techniques, and finishing methods.
Of course they do. Remember, this building comes with a housekeeper.
Load More Replies...I'll bet it's not, though. There are some crazy talented woodworkers out there!!
Load More Replies...Community woodworking clubs or makerspaces can provide hands-on instruction and access to tools you don’t own. Many hardware stores also offer weekend classes where you can practice under the guidance of an experienced instructor.
Finally, embrace the learning curve. Woodworking is as much about problem‑solving and patience as it is about creativity. If a cut is slightly off or two boards don’t align perfectly, view it as a chance to refine your technique. Each mistake teaches you more than a flawless build ever could. Celebrate progress rather than perfection, and remember that even seasoned woodworkers constantly hone their skills.
Yeah, they live better than most of the world.
Load More Replies...Lol this is fake as s*** too look at where the wood crosses at the top right where x is there's a carriage bolt that goes through one of the boards but not through the other one because the board is scabbed on at the top so the carriage bolt is pointless then if you were to swing on this thing the top sections that are supposedly scabbed on would just break off I'm so sick of the AI garbage everywhere they're basically testing all this AI against everybody just to see if we notice when it's lying to us or got fake content. Entertainment is degrading exponentially
Fake or stupid design. The top section on each side has a 4x4 that is somehow scabbed onto the top it would be weak there. Then there is a carriage bolt going through the center of the x but it only gous through the 1 board so why is it there? If you look at both sides where the wood makes an x closely you'll see what I'm saying. Why is there so much AI garbage out there now.
By carving out a simple workspace, gathering essential tools, prioritizing safety, choosing beginner-friendly projects, tapping into learning resources, and cultivating patience, you’ll find woodworking at home to be a deeply satisfying, and surprisingly accessible, hobby. Before long, you’ll look around your living room and see not just furniture, but a gallery of your own handiwork.
It is AI - look at the variagated Monstera leaves. They're not attached to a plant and they're different shapes. Plus that design isn't going to cope with the weight of the fluffy plant top left or the succulent in the middle without visible evidence of how it's attached. You'd see screw holes.
Yeah, there's several disembodied leaves that strongly suggest AI.
Load More Replies...I think the plants are def AI, but the stand is very doable. Expert woodworkers are able to make screw holes and other joins look invisible, especially if you're only looking at a photo, even without retouching.
My stepdad made a tv cabinet very similar to this one. He used the shelving for cds though.
AI again? Scale looks odd, like a Wendy House, and the grass in front is oddly swept.
The hest/ air unit being so far away from house and hanging off the balcony ? If it is real, they are idiots. Those things fo need serviced.
Load More Replies...It needs to have gold on it, everywhere.
Load More Replies...For all you AI dorks, do a reverse look up on google. This type of exquisite woodworking happens all the time.
While true, it's a lot easier for someone to use AI to generate an image like this than it is for someone to find a woodworking expert who has made a piece like this to post on a random forum.
Load More Replies...Who's going to be making those beds? when the kid is sick in that bed, who's going to get in there to help?
We have similar bunk beds in a nook and an adult can climb up or in fairly easily. I'm 5'11" 200lbs and I change my son's sheets by literally climbing up our in there and I climb up or in to read to him every single night. It's not as easy as a regular bed but unless you're out of shape, it's not that bad.
Load More Replies...My daughter had a loft bed for years. Not would like this hers was actually metal. And you know what it wasn't an issue and she loved it and it really gave her way more space in her room
This would be great for a studio / efficiency apt. and the stairs are better then a ladder, there is storage room under the stairs, and the dogs/cats can get up them
That was my immediate thought!! Too much to dust!!
Load More Replies...Creeping along the sides of the building to keep from getting drenched. There is a gutter up there, but you're still going to get wet.
I had a firewood pile like this. But it became a home to a nest of yellow jackets. I got swarmed once mowing near the wood pile. I counted 29 songs on just my right arm. They got into my clothes and stung me in more places then I care to say. After the exterminator came, I got rid of the firewood.
Now taking down payments for these new termite condos! Amenities include wasp security.
Looks AI especially where the chimney exits the roof. There would be a heat shield around the pipe.
A gazebo? If it had colored panels on the roof, it would be outstanding and fun.
I wouldn't think you want to wheel this around with items on those upper shelves. Really need to remove the wheels.
Or just use locking wheels. It looks like a potting bench and being able to wheel a potting bench around a greenhouse is very useful
Load More Replies...I’m guessing that it’s an old building that needed new structural support.
THIS is the type of content I want to come to BP. Not the personal dramas (albeit sometimes entertaining), and absolutely not the ebay promotions wrapped like a post.
This is either chicken coops, unfinished junk and mostly AI garbage. Get a more discerning eye.
Load More Replies...A lof of these were really cool, some were totally AI, and some I could see being someone's design mock up. Definitely not all "unfinished junk" and "AI generated slob."
I can usually tell things that were designed by men without female input. It's a dusting nightmare.
