If you think your neighbors are weird, wait until you hear about the people that others live next door to. Some of the most bizarre, wholesome, awful, and unusual neighbor stories end up being shared on the epic ‘Best of Nextdoor’ social media accounts, and let us tell you, the drama is next level.
We’ve compiled a list of the most off-the-hook posts that might inspire you to appreciate your own neighbors more… or drop everything and go live alone in the middle of the forest. Keep scrolling for a good laugh and a big taste of secondhand embarrassment.

I put all my leaves on to my flower beds , they make brilliant mulch and keep plants warmer over winter, not sure I’d be happy if someone did this lol
My 3 do this. I take them out of the pantry, put them on top of the pantry, put something else in the pantry. Rinse and repeat. Works for biscuits and treats too.
Our local shopping center joined Harvest Hosts and now allow a few campers to stay in their parking lot. One woman on NextDoor was complaining that it was a violation of the HOA rules and made the neighborhood look tacky. She kept arguing even when people pointed out that the shopping center is not part of the HOA.
Hope the birds now perch on their cars/washing lines and p00p on them.
"Also, has anyone considered changing the name of this neighborhood to Stepford?"
And the response in this message is why I have refused to join Nextdoor any of the several dozen times a local busybody realtor neighbor has sent me a snail mail invitation. The fact that she never gets the point of my multiple non-responses is yet another reason.
I have so many questions? I see people walking their dogs very, very early in the morning. One lady has a dog that goes nuts at the sight of someone across the street. It's debarked and seems uncontrolled, even on a leash. She used to walk her dog later in the morning, but now she's been walking it before I'm out the door, and I leave before 6:30am. Since the dog is so unruly around people, the less people-y time for walks is smart.
Worst thing you can do is publicly announce a severe phobia. I completely understand how bad their phobia is, but I'm smart enough to not mention mine and avoid it at all costs. I wouldn't even post anything. I'd just delete the app and go to brain and eye bleach content.
TIL the 1st Amendment is about the freedom of sandwich. Now I'm hungry.
Probably belonging to whatever poor housekeeper/gardener/nanny that has to put up with you miserable lot. Looks like OP isn’t quite so wealthy as they’d like to posture if that’s over their head.
Sure, I'll make up a complete new life for a complete stranger. What could go wrong?
Oh... you must be one of those. One of those who were "just taking a January tour of the Capitol, after being invited in."
New business idea: Rent-a-Raccoon. Just call 1-800-MASKRAT today!
There can be consequences for a nuisance 911 call. Hopefully they give her the full 1 year in jail...
We have a neighborhood chat, but we mostly use it to share animal sightings or offer plants we dont need. Does having a bear in the neighborhood count as drama? The current discussion is if it is a youngster travelling alone or a cub with mother.
Our NextDoor chats are always full of people complaining about new apartment buildings being built. And their complaints always center about how difficult it is to find street parking. Dudes! The apartment buildings have their own parking!
Oh, I hate Next Door. I signed up five years ago and it still thinks I live a neighborhood that's 40 miles away. I've cancelled and signed out of it so many times...it STILL sends me daily updates about things that are nowhere near me.
