I was trying to take a picture of a praying mantis with a macro lens (and an extension tube), but no matter how I adjusted my position, I could only see the underside of its "arms". Looked in real life (not through the viewer) and saw that it was climbing onto the lens. Not too intimidated!

I lived in an apartment complex that had 27 ducks and a goose. I made sure to feed them regularly such that anytime I went to the back door of the apartment the whole crew was raised and quacking/honking, even at night, so I always felt safe in my ground floor apartment. Given that I lived in Salt Lake City, Utah (USA) when Ted Bundy (serial killer) was living in the area, it probably was an even better idea than I thought at the time.
I could do with one of those dandelion eaters for our front grass, but I think the neighbours might complain!
