I was trying to take a picture of a praying mantis with a macro lens (and an extension tube), but no matter how I adjusted my position, I could only see the underside of its "arms". Looked in real life (not through the viewer) and saw that it was climbing onto the lens. Not too intimidated!

I lived in an apartment complex that had 27 ducks and a goose. I made sure to feed them regularly such that anytime I went to the back door of the apartment the whole crew was raised and quacking/honking, even at night, so I always felt safe in my ground floor apartment. Given that I lived in Salt Lake City, Utah (USA) when Ted Bundy (serial killer) was living in the area, it probably was an even better idea than I thought at the time.

Oh, man, does that bring back some memories! I remember when the DECtalk came out and, since I worked in a company that was all DEC and was a dealer, we got one and spent months playing with it.

Capitalism: You have two cows. You sell one at a loss to buy feed for the other which is stolen by AI because "you didn't even READ the terms of service, maaaaan." American Capitalism: the AI service sues you because the cow was injured during the theft. You are found liable of emotional and financial distress. You are sent to prison for 20 years. After two years, you d*e from lack of basic medical care. The for-profit prison you are in pretends you are still alive in order to collect the daily fee from the government for housing you. They write off the meals they do not have to feed you. NATO, please send help.
